I disagree. Shin may have tiny arms compared to Legendary, but you can't argue with how devastating his breath is.

what was so amazing. the movie was bland. the monsters were fine, the constant cgi and greenscreen was dull. Shin Godzilla combined cgi with rubber costumes making it visually the best eye candy we have ever gotten in a Godzilla film.

I'm looking forward to see "Shin Godzilla", or "Godzilla: Resurgence", this coming Tuesday during the screening starting from October 11 till October 18. This is one of my favorite drawings I have ever seen! It is set up so well I feel like I can see and hear the action unfolding! Me personally, I gotta choose Legendary Goji. He is just too epic and also has obtained possibly years of fighting experience and strategy. Size and lasers (to me personally) don't cut it when your fighting the king of San Francisco(2014)!

I think Legendary Goji would win if he can manage to close the gap and go into melee, as I'm pretty sure he has the edge in physical power. Shin Goji on the other hand totally trumps Legendary Goji when it comes to sheer atomic destructive power from what I've seen. If he can maintain distance and get off his multi-atomic ray spam, then he would win. So I guess this whole fight just depends on the scenario. Just my two cents.

No offense to those who like Shin Godzilla's design (which to be fair, the direction seemed like a cool idea) but I think Shin Godzilla has to be the ugliest Godzilla I've ever seen.
I personally like Legendary Godzilla a lot more because he looked more like an actual reptile and it seems to be what Godzilla would look like in real life. I mean THIS Godzilla had freakin' scales for crying out loud!
Also Legendary Godzilla has arms long and beefy enough to do massive lifting and clawing to his foes. Shin's on the other hand look so scrawny that they serve no purpose.
And what's with the skulls on the tip of Shin's tail? I don't get that.

2014 had a hard time fighting the 2 mutos. i highly doubt he could lift or do much damage to the biggest godzilla to date. 2014s godzilla has probably the weakest atomic breath yet (sadly). although i do love legendaries design, i love how disgustingly badass the shin gojira desigh is. bottom jaw opens like a predators mouth, and has a huge ass mouth, perfect for ripping flesh. and holy mother of mothra, shin gojiras atomic breath is by far the most powerful its ever been. not only that, but it can be shot from his back and tail as well.Β
the skull faces on the tip of his tail are gojiras offspring. gojira reproduses asexualy, and the children come from his tail. (maybe they fall out like an egg or something)Β

Keep in mind the 1954 Godzilla was pretty deformed looking too. Godzilla was meant to represent the horrors of nuclear warfare and like the Hiroshima victims he is horribly mutilated by its power. He's an unnatural abomination birthed by powers mankind had no right to toy with and that bites them in the ass hard. Being realistic was never the goal in mind with Godzilla.Β

I must apologize to you and say that you're right. Although the Shin Gojira's hide is weaker than Legendary's, Shin Atomic Heat Ray can be fired from its mouth, tail, and back. This means that Shin can do a LOT of damage well before Legendary even got close enough for his attacks.

Also Shin tanks things like no ones buisness, legendary flinched to being shot at by missiles and Shin just walks through it unless they bunker bust his spines which isn't uncommon, if you watch other Godzillas man made weapons do hurt him but he still stands, shin went beyond and adapted that injury into a weapon, also his breath is so concentrated it cuts through anything like a light saber

g14 tanked the meteor that caused the permian-triassic extinction, the extinction that wipes out 90% life forms on earth, check it out in godzilla awakening comics, also g14 tanked that atomic bomb in year 1954 AKA "castle bravo" which is didnt do shit afterwards with no visible damage, shin goji durability is too damn cute compared to g14 feats (sorry bad english)
