Sorry, Legendary Godzilla, but your firepower just doesn't compare to Shin Godzilla's.

He may not have the fire power, but he has the willpower,Β guts and glory.

I don't want to spoil too much, but I don't think willpower, guts, and glory are going to cut it against Shin Godzilla.

However, the one thing that separates the two is that Legendary won a fight against two equally matched opponents. Β Shin hasn't really fought anyone yet. Β So that point should go in Legendary's favour. Β

Trust me it is more than enough not to mention it is already proven he is WAY more durable and immune to any damage than Shin. Shin was mortally wounded by a few bombs from a B-52. Legendary slept off a nuke after fighting two kaijus nuff said.

VovinaArt In reply to pwntodeath [2016-08-21 22:04:15 +0000 UTC]

Slept off a nuke? If they'd failed to get it out of the city before it blew up and Legendary Godzilla was unharmed afterwards, I'd agree with you, but the nuke detonated offshore after Godzilla passed out from fighting the Mutos.

pwntodeath In reply to VovinaArt [2016-08-21 23:09:39 +0000 UTC]

Dude we all know the guy survived from plot armor the nuke was not far enough away in the slightest. As well let us not forget that after Shin Godzilla used his "beam" or so called atomic breath which really does not look like anything close to it. He was extremely weakened. Legendary would easily tank that shit and not be weakened or slowed by using his own atomic breath. Just because they did not hit him directly with the nuke does not mean it would do nothing to him or the city. Oh and let me remind you at the beginning during the WWII nuclear tests they did nuke him and he didn't give a shit. Legendary Godzilla is way stronger then Shin Godzilla could ever dream to be.

I won't argue that Legendary Godzilla seems to be more physically durable than Shin Godzilla (though by how much I don't know, since no-one considered dropping MOAB bombs on him), seeing how Legendary Godzilla was bloodied by the Mutos' claws, I have doubts he'd be able to 100% tank an attack that cleaves through skyscrapers like butter.

In regards to the nuke, the general guy points out that the bomb they were going to use on Legendary Godzilla was multitudes more powerful than the Castle Bravo nuke - though I personally doubt it would do much harm to him - Β but as far as the movie's plot was concerned (like inΒ The Dark Knight Rises) the nuke was far enough away to not harm the city, since all the army guys were out without radiation suits and Giger counters. If not, the characters who returns for the sequel are all going to have terminal cancer and other severe health problems.

Also, while Shin Godzilla was weakened using his Atomic Breath, Legendary Godzilla was also weakened by using his Atomic Breath (which didn't strike me as being particularly powerful due to it only harming the female Muto when he fired it down her throat) due to it draining his internal radiation reserves. And that's not getting into the issue of Shin Godzilla's healing factor if it works the way the movie implies it does.Β

pwntodeath In reply to VovinaArt [2016-08-22 04:37:04 +0000 UTC]

Bloodied? Lol when did it ever show a sign of Godzilla being bloodied by the muto's if anything the more he fought them the more pissed he got which made him even stronger. He never showed any sign of weakness or slowing compared to Shin Godzilla. I am also very sure only Ken Watanabe is the only one returning in the sequel nor will it be directed by the same bastard gareth edwards. Think of it this way he is going to fight King Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan in the sequel he has to be way more powerful in order to take them on and will be. Shin Godzilla became immobilized after using his laser beam attack. Godzilla on the other hand walked through a navy and bridge like it was nothing where as clutz jap shin godzilla got knocked over like tipping a cow. They have not shown a healing factor on Legendary yet to be precise but I am sure he does have some form of regeneration and we will see a lot more feats in the sequel.

I think ShinGoijira would just be burnt away by LegendaryGodzilla's atomic breath if Shin's atomic beams miss Godzilla and the more ancient version is at full power.

Now I've seen the Legendary Gojira, but sadly haven't seen the new (and terrifying) Shin Gojira!

Just from rumors and trailers (and personal expectations), I would think that Shin Gojira would trounce the mighty Legendary Gojira (who's defensive and offensive feats, especially in that Playstation game) can match the Heisei/Final Gojiras.

If you can, and have time, you should make a whole comic on the subject of these two fighting each other

Shin Goji reigns victorious, his offense is insane and he adapted a injury into a weapon, he also tanks shit like nothing, g 14 flinches from middle fire, 2016 keeps walking in it, his atomic breath by God is just deaths scythe slicing through Anything as he is the weilder, four words don't fuck with Shin

Majstic12 In reply to MrFredbear1983 [2016-10-07 15:34:49 +0000 UTC]

lol, g 14 has a few humble feats already, in godzilla awakening comics g 14 tanked the meteor that caused the permian-triassic extinction, the extinction that wiped out 90% of life forms on earth, heck even g 14 tanked the atomic bomb in year 1954 AKA "Castle Bravo" and didnt so shit afterwards with no visible damage, the tanking feats of shin goji is too damn cute compare to g 14 durability (sorry bad english)Β

I'd prefer Legend to win over Shin, since Legend showed he had no grudge against humanity and tried to avoid wanton mayhem, only causing chaos due to his immense size. Β Whereas Shin is just a God of Destruction. Β

OutcastClankzilla In reply to RobertMacQuarrie1 [2016-08-21 17:16:16 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, definitely - sure, the Big G's character has definitely been everywhere on the spectrum, but having him be more akin to a grizzled old soldier fighting when he needs to does sound more appealing than the usual Demon born of Humanity's Folly thing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RobertMacQuarrie1 In reply to OutcastClankzilla [2016-08-22 05:25:12 +0000 UTC]

Plus Shin Godzilla pretty much started attacking humanity right off the bat. Β Legendary has been awake for 50 years by the time of 2014's film, but never showed up until the Mutos started to rise. Β Plus, he never seemed to be outright malicious in his destruction. Β It's just that the guy is so big he can't help but make a mess in a lot of cases. Β But when he can avoid damage, he does. Β

OutcastClankzilla In reply to RobertMacQuarrie1 [2016-08-22 12:50:38 +0000 UTC]

Which is something that I can say makes him more nuanced than ShinGoji - okay, in terms of motivations for the latter I can understand where it's coming from, but reading into his real origins and what it means...yeah I'll stick with LegendaryGodzy for now.

I've come to appreciate Shin Godzilla's new look (even that unnecessarily long tail), but his arms are just WAY too small and scrawny. Here's hoping Toho decides to bulk him up later on.

Huh. I wonder if this is like the neo version of what Godzilla was like in Godzilla VS Destroyah, where basically he was having a nuclear meltdown.Β
Ya know, it's funny. A while ago, somebody made a comic book about Godzilla going to hell...and then they make a version of him shortly afterwards that looks like he just went through hell. Coincidence?

Legendary might win because Shin Gojira looks like it's on the verge of death, like a still framed dying Burning Godzilla when he was melting down. However Shin is a literal tank to attacks.

Well, in the newest trailer, he's in a meltdown / hypercharged form.

Meaning all the time, he's strong enough to OBLITERATE the other Godzillas.

Also, the one who made this image made a mistake.

Shin is actually a little taller than he's portrayed here
