From what I read, he's supposed to have different "forms" (their words, not mine). My idea is that this is right after he's mutated into the kaiju we all know and love, and is still regenerating/mutating. I'm eager to see his final look...

I love this type of Godzilla. An unknown destroyer, a terrible creature from the depths of the sea, come to crush us. I like this kind better than the "hero" Godzilla from the 70's. Plus he looks so cool!

it's closer to his roots as an unstoppable force of nature, a complete monstrous radioactive abomination
like the original Godzilla...good heavy lessons from a movie who's message was forgotten & turned into nothing more then campy cool giant monsters fighting

Exactly! Of course, I do enjoy a good monster brawl, but I like it when Godzilla is only fighting the other monsters because they've irritated him in some way, and he saves humanity in the process of expressing his... displeasure.

let me make this clear since im a veteran of him since his day 1 debut back in the 50's
let me ask you this you do know the godzilla's from the early 90's and 2000's (except the legendary and that shittry 98 one) are his kids that took his place right?
the very first one in the 50's was claimed dead due to a oxygen explosion
..........not only that what makes SHIN godzilla a big deal is that this is the very original godzilla as in the OG that was supposed to be dead that's why he looks well undead like and is not only claimed to be the biggest one especially compared to the 2014 legendary one, his tail is even bigger than his body, he's actually terrifying, and he was never a hero to begin with you may like the others now but the first one wasn't exactly a hero OR an antihero this is a true monster coming back and he's pissed off as hell
the movie is controlled by the original studio toho that made the movies since day one as well combining with the writing of an anime writer that made evangelion, is also combining the cgi WITH their original guy in suit effect within the monster with the people that made the live action / cgi attack on titan animators for godzilla
this is going to be huge as hell
hell legendary (the guys that made the 2014 movie) are planning on making a remake of Godzilla vs King Kong (and yes i said remake there is in fact a movie already made of godzilla and king kong fighting but uhh....you will hate the effects it's really bad the way how they use the suits not only that godzilla lost for a really stupid reason i won't say what i will say it's really really stupid plus it's also from the 70's) what makes this one a huge deal as well is the fact that the king kong that 2014 legendary godzilla will be fighting it will be the same exact king kong back in 05 (the cgi one) is going to fight him in scale size view

yep I'm hyped for this movie, the original Godzilla movie was HEAVY & it's themes dark nothing like kaiju movies today, their just cool monsters fighting
& the King Kong VS Godzilla remake as well (I saw the original I liked its premise but it's execution not so much) I heard Mothra may be in it I'm dying~ she is a bae

I don't think Toho was aiming for "Demonic" Godzilla, it looks more like abomination rather than a demon, he's still a creature created by a nuke, all those radiation burn marks and mutations, he's supposed to look atrocious.
