Please note the words below contain a fair amount of spoilers, so if you haven't watch ep10 of Legend of Korra yet, I strongly recommend not to read!

I know everyone is drawing this, but I just can't help myself not to...
Lin, you're my HERO!!! And really Toph's girl!!

OMG, I feel so hurt and sad now!!! I needed to draw this to comfort myself and the people who got hurt by the new episode.
OK, to be honest, this is the first time LOK really touched my heart and made me want to cry. I actually expected to see Lin sacrifice herself for the Avatar at a certain point in the show, but I didn't expect it to come so quickly. Even though I prepared for this moment, I still feel deeply hurt when I really see it.
I don't how Toph will feel seeing her daughter do all this. Guess she will be so proud of Lin, and heart broken at the same time.
Like mother, like daughter.
Toph was a hero of Awesomness, and Lin is a hero of sadness.
Lin is such a fantastic character, a tragic hero also, my favorite character in LOK so far, and the oldest character I've ever loved. Toph seems so strong and unstoppable, but Lin on the other hand doesn't always win the fight, but she dares to face battles that she knows she's gonna lose, and she sacrificed her most important thing to save her most important person and his family, which makes me admire her even more.
Beifong are the best!!
(But who can carry on the legacy now...)
and, I got the feeling that she will got her bending back later on.
The blowing white bubble implies her melted bending... I still need to touch this up.
I was a bit annoyed by the last shot, I mean that's definitely a highlight of the whole episode, and I screamed out when I heard that voice, you know what I mean. but I wish they could have given Lin a bit more time and let the sadness last/hold longer before that exciting moment hit...

Dude, when Lin was ripping the ships at the end, it was like flashback to the finale when Toph was tearing up the firenation airships. Seriously, they're both such serious BAMFs. Love em both!!

Of course, the members of that police force all had their bending removed.

The thing to remember here is that losing one's bending doesn't necessarily mean an end to badassness. I mean, we have Ty Lee, Suki, Asami, and the entire Equalist faction to demonstrate just how badass someone can be without bending. Personally, I fully expect Lin to put on a taser-glove, break out of whatever cell they put her in, and continue kicking ass.

You have to remember that Lin hasn't been shown using any weapon or fighting skill besides her bending. I think it's more likely that Korra will figure out a way to give people's bending back and Lin will be one of her first customers.

I love love love this! I can just see Toph being this proud of her daughter, I can almost see this happening in the actually series maybe while Lin is unconscious. You almost made my cry again, and dear god is that almost impossible. I'm not the kind of person to be overly touched by movies/tv, but they built up such a strong, noble, heroic character that it's hard not to be saddened by the fact that she got her bending taken away. Man alive...

i've really been missing the epicness of last airbender that legend of korra has been lacking just a bit. i think it's the old characters i really miss, but in ep 10, when lin was doing her thing, i was just like "toph! toph! toph!" and the epic was back. made me happy
