CRASH LANDED: A CRASH BANDICOOT REBOOTREVISED VERSION, PART I
CRASH BANDICOOT: THE PROLOGUE
It starts with a scientist Dr. Neo Cortex, a man whom has been shunned and ridiculed all of his life by family, at school and in adult life. Right now he has found the location of a trio of islands in the middle of the ocean around Australia and New-Zeeland, the Wumpa Islands. He sets up his lab on N. Danger island, renamed Cortex Island by himself, with the help of his colleague Dr. Nitrus Brio. He then continues the experiments on biological mutations in these parts.
He soon creates a batch of mutants: the intelligent Doctor Roo, the strong but thick Koala Kong, the suave bad boy and gunman Peter Potoroo, and finally mutates a trio of Bandicoots: siblings Crash and Coco, the warrior and the inventor, and Tawna, whom seemingly has no combat skills and whose use is unclear.
The mutants are a close gang of friends, and they are convinced by their master, Doctor Cortex that they are going to change the world for the better and they are all going to be a part of it. Each of them gets respective training and all are doing well. Especially Crash, whom despite his child-like nature and happy go lucky attitude proves himself a powerful combatant.
Tawna, whom appears an innocent, bumbling ditz, gets into a relationship with Crash, to Peter’s dismay (whom had a crush on her as well). Coco doesn’t trust Tawna as she thinks Tawna’s bouts of affection look more like belittling than anything else. She also spots Tawna speaking to Peter one day, getting real affectionate with him. Though Coco couldn’t prove anything and her brother wouldn’t be able to believe what she said since he was acting as a lovesick puppy.
Crash meanwhile, starts having doubts of his own, but of his creator. He mentions N. Brio being real nervous and meek and sees Cortex relentlessly pushes him around. He also realized that while Cortex claims to ‘create a better world’ he seems to be weaponizing his inventions to do so.
Crash gathers the other mutants and relays his suspicions. The intelligent Doctor Roo puts things together and after sneaking into the lab and get plans, they find that Doctor Cortex wants to outright conquer it, not save it. They try running away…but they are betrayed. By Peter, whom saw this as a chance to finally gain favor from Cortex over Crash.
Doctor Cortex also reveals Tawna’s true purpose, to keep Crash in line, as she was created as the perfect femme fatale and master manipulator. Crash gets angry and attacks in rage, but Cortex sends an army of Lab Assistant Androids to subdue them all. One by one the mutants are subjected to his new Cortex Vortex to make them obedient slaves.
However, there are kinks in the prototype, and there are several failures. Doctor Roo is turned completely insane after his treatment and Koala Kong is stuck as a near-uncontrollable being of rage. As Crash is put through the Vortex, his willpower resists and fries the Cortex Vortex, but also part of his brain, making him unable to speak properly again, and instead speak gibberish. Crash uses the moment the Vortex shuts down to break out, but he is accidentally knocked out a window during a scuffle. Coco is put in a jail cell as Cortex and Brio try to repair the Cortex vortex.
Meanwhile, Crash washes up on the beach of N. Sanity Island, of the Wumpa Islands…
CRASH BANDICOOT 1
Crash washes up on the Islands of N. Sanity beach. He manages to recover but then is attacked by the local wildlife and flora, whom have become bigger and more violent thanks to the pollution Cortex is causing. He suddenly hears a voice calling him from the jungle and he sets out. After going through the treacherous jungle and avoiding some boobytraps, he comes across an ancient temple. There he finds a mask containing the spirit of the witch doctor Aku Aku, the protector of the islands.
Though Aku Aku is weakened, as his power derives from nature and the pollution is causing him pain. He asks Crash, whom he senses is good despite being created by Cortex, to help him. Crash agrees, hoping that with the help of Aku Aku’s magic he’ll be able to save his friends.
Crash goes around N. Sanity Island solving some problems created by Cortex. But to travel to the other islands he needs a boat, and only the natives have it. He travels to the native village, but they are hostile towards him due to being a mutant created by Cortex, whom they despise. Crash and Aku Aku are brought before the tribe leader, Papu Papu, and try to plead their case. Papu Papu challenges Crash to combat to determine him worthy of his trust.
Crash defeats Papu Papu, but refuses to land a finishing blow. Papu Papu sees this as the determining factor needed to fully trust Crash. He then allows Crash to travel with one of their boats piloted by his brother in law, Capu Capu. He also tells Crash about a falling out with his daughter Poi, whom has split off with several clan members and settled on the second Wumpa Island, N. Trapment Island.
There he finds his friend Doctor Roo, now turned into the insane Ripper Roo. His friend attacks in an insane frenzy and Crash is forced to fight him and manages to knock him out with one of his own explosives.
Crash manages to talk to Poi, Papu Papu’s daughter, whom alongside most females of the tribe don’t like the traditions of females being housewives and men being warriors. Crash manages to gain her and her amazonic tribe’s allegiance (calling themselves the Wumpazons) after helping them deal with mutated wildlife and they stand guard over Ripper Roo as he’s contained, hoping that they’ll be able to save him later.
Crash later travels deep into the volcanic core of the island, where Koala Kong is stuck as a rage-filled berserker. Crash is unable to talk his friend out of his rampage and knocks him out as well. After dropping him off at the Wumpazons, takes off towards the third and final island, Cortex Island.
First Crash shuts down Cortex polluting factories and faces his old friend Peter Potoroo, now calling himself Pinstripe. He’s intending to prove himself Crash’s superior once and for all. He loses to Crash, and tempts Crash into finishing it, but Crash refuses, not being like Pinstripe.
Crash climbs all the way up into Cortex’s lab at the top in his castle. Among the way he saves a giant bird whom Crash nicknames Screech, after she was attacked by lab assistants while tring to make a nest. He faces Brio down at the lab. Crash tries to coax Brio into standing up for himself and no longer let Cortex walk over him. Brio can’t and fights Crash on Cortex’ others. Brio is defeated and apologizes, but Crash forgives him. Brio then allows Crash to move towards Cortex.
Neo Cortex was about to turn Coco into a mindless servant with the fixed Cortex Vortex as Crash came in and damages the Vortex and saves his sister. Cortex tries to flee on his blimp, but Crash catches up, trying to stop his madness. Tawna appears, and tries to use her appeal and cunning to seduce Crash, in an attempt to subdue him.
However, Crash isn’t fooled this time. Tawna tries to physical restrain him, but since she has no combat prowess, she messes up, and Crash easily subdues her. He then faces Cortex, and defeats him. Cortex is left hanging from the edge of the blimp and begs Crash to save him. Crash, out of the goodness of his heart, tries doing so. Cortex instead tries to pull Crash off the blimp, and both fall to the distance below. Screech saves Crash at the last second while Cortex seemingly falls to his death.
Tawna is saved at the last second by Pinstripe, whom takes her to safety before the blimp they were on crashes down. Crash reunites with his sister, and he takes her and Brio back to the Wumpazons. After Poi reunites with her dad and they make up, he allows her to walk her own path in life. The Wumpazons offer Coco to train with them so next time she can fight alongside her brother. Brio then tells he’ll try to cure Koala Kong and Ripper Roo of their conditions, even if he is unsure it is possible.
Anyhow, the heroes try to make a life for themselves on the island and they think they are at peace. But Neo Cortex is revealed to be alive, having ended up in an underground cave, where he finds a weird crystal. Sensing great power, he laughs maniacally.
CRASH BANDICOOT1 ½
Several months have passed and the Wumpa Islands are at peace. Coco’s training with the Wumpazons made sure she is now a skilled fighter like her brother, and Crash spends his time not training basking in the sun. Brio is still busy trying to cure Kong and Roo, but at the same time has fallen in love with the Wumpazon Nozama.
Cortex had taken the crystal away from the Wumpa Islands to get into contact with an old acquaintance, Nitro Gin, whom just had made it in the defense industry. Cortex offers to work together, but Gin refuses, finally able to make a honest living by selling his new prototype missile to the military. However, Cortex secretly sabotages the project and it goes awry, N. Gin being struck in the head by his own missile. Cortex pretends to care and rebuilds the missile as a life support system and upgrades him into a cyborg. N. Gin shows gratitude towards Cortex and joins his new project.
However, taking the Crystal away had a side-effect: the Crystal was a key to a lock on a terrifying evil: N-Tangle. N-Tangle was a fearsome plant-like creature whom seeks out to release his ‘True Master’ from his imprisonment. Aku Aku senses him, and explains that long ago, he sealed N-Tangle and his master away. N-Tangle never knew where his Master was sealed, but there are four pieces of the map scattered around the islands and he is not allowed to find them.
N-Tangle, meanwhile, gains help from Pinstripe and Tawna (whom has learned how to fight and use firearms from Pinstripe, now her boyfriend) and sends them out to get the map pieces. Crash and Coco confront them both as they each try to gain a map piece, but while defeating them, N-Tangle manages to get the map pieces.
N-Tangle then decides to create a distraction by breaking out Kong and Roo before they are fully cured and send them on a rampage across the islands. Crash and Coco are forced to contain them to prevent them from hurting anyone, and during this, N-Tangle gains the last two map pieces.
N-Tangle locates the temple and uses a key on the pedestal in the big tree on N. Trapment Island to rise the temple from the underground onto the surface. Crash confronts him there and prevents N-Tangle from breaking the seal on the temple. N-Tangle tries to turn the tide around by assuming a second form by briefly merging with the Big Tree, but he is defeated, withers and dies. He congratulates the heroes on their victory but assures his master will rise again.
The Temple cannot be brough back underground, but the seal is mostly intact. The heroes now need to make sure no one else would be foolish enough to try and break the seal again. As they resume their peaceful existence, Aku Aku mutters: “Not today, brother.”
Cortex, as he works on a project in secret, is visited in his dreams by the Master, whom proposes an alliance with him…
N-Tangle isn’t done for either, as a single seed survives and plants itself in the middle of a Wumpa patch, and a sapling starts to grow from it.
CRASH 2
It has been six months since N-Tangle was defeated and a year since Cortex was declared dead. Everything seems fine until Crash gets to hear from the Wumpazons that Brio, Kong and Roo have gone missing. As Crash and Coco try finding them, they run into Cortex, whom reveals he has changed his ways. In fact, he is made aware of a solar flare that will come from the sun soon and may destroy all life on Earth. Coco checks it out and finds out there is actual strange solar activity, and for now hear him out.
Cortex says he builds a new space station that will safely harness the solar flare and send it out in space where it can do no harm, but he needs crystals, like the one he gathered of N-Tangle’s seal. Coco decides to do more investigation but suggest they play along Cortex’ game until they are sure he isn’t lying.
As Crash gathers the crystals, he is encountered by N. Brio. Brio has become aggressive, having succumbed to all the rage and frustration he repressed by Cortex and the world and now vows to take control of the islands and Cortex’ space station so he can be the hero and gain the admiration he deserves. He hinders Crash in his endeavors by sending cybernetically enhanced animals around the islands.
One of these enhanced animals, Polar the polar bear, resists his programming and helps the heroes in their quest. In exchange he asks them to release his father, Admiral Bearminator from the control of N. Brio, which they managed to do. As Polar and Bearminator part on good terms with the heroes, Polar gives Coco a disc with valuable data, which he found in Brio’s lab, and hopes Coco can do something with it.
Brio has more mutants then them in his army. His commanders are Doctor Roo, now partially cured but still able to revert in his Ripper Roo persona, as well as new mutants like the Komodo Brothers Joe and Moe and Tiny the Tasmanian Tiger. However, Crash manages to defeat them all.
Coco manages to decode the disc Polar gave her and uses the info on it to hack Cortex’ computer. She finds out the solar flare isn’t dangerous but it is able to power the Cortex Vortex in Cortex’ new space station and it will be supercharged enough to control the minds of every living being on Earth. Coco tries warning Crash, but Cortex snatches the crystals as he sends out N. Gin to distract them.
They beat N. Gin and later they find the location of Nozama, Brio’s Wumpazon girlfriend whom Cortex had kidnapped and to blackmail N. Brio into taking the fall for him. They save her and forgive N. Brio as they chase Cortex into space and fight him. He is defeated and the Cortex Vortex is damaged, Cortex getting into an escape pod and Crash and Coco teleporting out with Aku Aku as the Vortex explodes, the Power Crystals going missing.
Back at the Wumpazon village, everyone is glad that everything is back to normal. Brio stays with his Wumpazon girlfriend, and continues working with Roo and Kong, and are now joined by the Komodo Bros, though Tiny has gone missing after his defeat. They also help the enhanced animals Brio created (and now have their free will and human-like intelligence) set up societies on the islands.
However, remnants of the space station fall on top of the temple of the Master, and a dark force emerges from it, and with a wicked laugh he declares: “All according to plan…”
CRASH 3 WARPED
After the temple of the Master is destroyed, its prisoner has been released. Uka Uka, Aku Aku’s evil twin brother. Aku Aku senses the danger and gathers Crash and Coco and he sets out to try and stop his brother from conquering the world like he did eons ago, and was the reason he was banished.
Uka Uka now meets Cortex in person and now forcefully takes command of his operations. He had been planting subtle hints in Cortex’ dreams, setting up the pieces of his return. But Uka Uka has reached out to another person in his dreams as well: the expert on time-travel Nefarious Tropey. Uka Uka reveals he senses the Power Crystals have been scattered through space and time after the explosion of the Cortex Vortex, and that’s why he needs Tropey’s expertise.
Aside from Neo Cortex, N. Gin and Tropey, they also gain help from Tiny Tiger, whom Cortex managed to take away after his defeat by Crash and brainwash into a loyal servant and Dingodile, his new Dingo/Crocodile hybrid mutant. They use Tropey’s time machine, the Time Twister to travel through time and gather the Crystals.
The heroes had overheard them though. Though they couldn’t prevent Cortex’ forces from traveling back in time, Coco manages to acquire Tropey’s blueprints from his computer and they use it to make a time twister of their own to follow them through time and stop their efforts.
Crash and Coco travel through time, from the prehistory all the way to the distant future, fighting and defeating Tiny, Dingodile and Tropey along the way. However, Tropey’s defeat means the time twister becomes unstable in the process.
They make a few allies along the way, including a baby T-Rex Crash nicknames ‘Rexy’ and a German WWI pilot named Ebenezer Von Clutch. Several of Cortex mutants, brought along for the ride, also turn on him, including the ninja penguin girl Penta (part of the forces sent to the Ice Age) and Pura, a tiger cub mutant operating in Ancient China (and develops a crush on Coco).
They also meet a new enemy, Trash Bandicoot, a carbon copy of Crash, but unlike Crash he is evil and he cares only about fighting and defeating his counterpart. Crash barely defeats Trash and sends him running.
However, after the defeat of N. Gin, both heroes and villains have acquired an equal amount of crystals. Now they confront each other at the core of the time twister to get the other half of the crystals from one another. Uka Uka plans on using the Time Twister to go back to the beginning of time and rule the universe from the day it came to be. Crash and Aku Aku fight Cortex and Uka Uka and defeat them, and the two villains are sucked up in a portal as the time machine collapses into itself, trapping them in a void outside of time.
The heroes get back to their own time safely and while taking Penta and Pura with them, have to say goodbye to Ebeneezer and Rexy. Back on Wumpa Island they plan on enjoying themselves for as long as they can, as they know they won’t be at peace forever.
Meanwhile, Cortex, Tropey and Uka Uka are released from a timeless void by an unknown benefactor. It turns out to be a cybernetically enhanced schoolgirl, whom cheerfully greets Cortex and says: “Hi, Uncle.”

Nice Reboot! Interesting what you did with tawna here. And Uka Uka influencing Cortex? that makes sense! I also liked the Whole N-Tangled part!

Well, I try to improve characters before I try to get rid of them, like I did with Tawna.
And N-Tangled is based on a scrapped character for a scrapped Crash Game. But unlike a scientist, he is a mystic plant being.

Is it alright if you send me a link to Scruvy's version of a Crash Bandicoot reboot because it would interesting in comparing the differences between your reboot and Scruvy's reboot?

Well I have looked at Scruvypiratehog's Crash Bandicoot reboot and I have to say both reboots are good but I must go with your reboot since it is more expanding as well as it sticks well to continuity so I hope your continue this Crash reboot.
On a different topic are you going to continue your universe of Kamen Rider since it has been a while if you don't mind me asking?

I give you all my hope for you to get out of the slump becuase I would love to see your universe version of Kamen Rider Decade because the series is hated by many Kamen Rider fans.
