I have extreme arachnophobia, but even I think the little guy looks kinda cute. lol. Are they poisonous? I'd be afraid it would bite, if I picked it up like that. Anyway,

That looks like a daring jumping spider, they can be black or brown. they eat smaller spiders or flies. I had a black one named Monica, she lived for three months then stopped eating for some reason, and died. I also help bugs and animals that get stuck in ponds/pools/streams/rivers. I never heard anyone doing that before. When there were cicadas buzzing around at our school pool party the students liked to drown them. But be careful in handling those they give a nasty bite.

Normally, I'd take someone to task if they told me that they saved a SPIDER. Ick. However, the shot's amazing and the little eight-legged monster is wee, so all is well. ;o)

What a great little salticid. There are some really cool looking spiders in this world and the salticids have some of the best. Want to see a REAL spider? Check out PIDEE

Dude, I told you you need to clean your fridge out more often.

meh?... rotten food = maggots, maggots are insects, not arachnids...

that joke might have worked if you made a crack about how i treat my fridge like a dusty attic...

i give you a check minus for the effort, but you still need to do some homwork...

zing

GOD DAMIT! I HATE CHECK MINUS!!!

Well... I loved the crack about crabs, so I improvised with an obvious "zinger" about your cleaning habits in the kitchen.
...and you do treat your fridge like an attic, the only difference is the temp and the fact that your attic has more juice in it than your fridge.
