As part of the First Response Maintenance Squad, Cally awoke before the rest of the slumber ship. It was her job to oversee the gradual "waking up" of the crew from their deep sleep in suspended animation. But just as she was prepping a work area, Cally received a surprise.

She was confronted by a battered old robot that treated Cally as if she were an intruder. It was one of the "butler" class 'bots, and it looked as if it had been through hell. Cally issued the usual "stand down" orders, but the 'bot would not obey, instead insisting that Cally either surrender or face "drastic measures."

So Cally surrendered.

Surrendering to a 'bot meant being bound and gagged with a sticky, tape-like substance. Cally was laid on the floor, where she was bound, and the 'bot hovered over her in guard mode until someone came along. This would take about another hour, when the second team would arrive--and they will free her.

By letting herself be captured by a damaged 'bot, Cally figured she'd be the butt of some jokes for a while to come. But for right now, she might as well just relax and enjoy her enforced rest period.
