I saw a lot of my sisters and my relationship in Frozen. My younger sister definitely being Anna. Outgoing, funny, and silly at times. Me being a bit more like Elsa. Introverted and creative. Interesting -- I'm always a fan of the more realistic style of artwork when it comes to Disney characters, but an additional surprise was how you adjusted her outfit to use an Empire bust. Given the 1840s time period, those might've been still in vogue in some circles so it's interesting to see a historically influenced take on the snow dress.
Do you have any interest in giving a similar treatment to Elsa's coronation dress?

I do believe this is the first piece of Frozen fanart I've seen, done in a realistic style, that I've actually liked. Usually when someone draws Elsa or Anna in a more anatomically believable fashion they end up losing that whole Disney element but somehow you've really managed to maintain Elsa's whole motif! Her beauty, her grace, that sense of somber isolation blending with the relief of finally being able to be herself; damned good stuff, madam!

I also love how the movie reminds you of you and your sister. The thing applied to me. I see my younger brother like Anna like you said outgoing, funny and silly. Every time I hear the song "Do You Want To Build A Snowman" it makes me want to cry.

Yay for Frozen reminding you of how close you and your sister(s) can be! <3 Funny how the older ones always seem to be more like Elsa, while the younger ones are more like Anna.
Anyway, love this, especially the rich detail on the beadwork on the dress's bodice and the snowflakes. It must have taken you a long time to complete this one. I'm loving the composition-- the simplicity and darkness brings to mind Elsa's isolation, yet her face is enveloped in a warm glow and has that expression of contentment.

I LOVE your version of Elsa's dress! Beautiful painting by the way! My siblings and I have similarities with the movie characters, too! My sister is a LOT like Elsa she'a had to deal with a lot in her life and has insecurity and other emotional issues because of it, my brother is like Kristoff, and everyone tells me that Anna is me to a 'T' (I still haven't decided if thats a good thing or not)! Over all a beautiful drawing of my favorite character!

I know exactly what you're talking about, my younger sis and me are also pretty much like Anna and Elsa. This is a really great piece of art. I'm so happy to see more Elsa fan art that does not focus on being seductive. You captured her personality very well and your skills are amazing!

Yes, indeed. My heart melted when I realised that the "true love"-thing was not about Anna and Kristoff, but about Anna and Elsa.
You're most welcome. I'm so sick of all the "sexy Elsa" and "Elsa x whosoever" drawings, even if they are exceptionally well drawn. To me, Elsa's character is about insecurity, being overburdened with royal obligations and the struggle of being isolated in order to not hurt the person she loves most. Of course, during the "Let it go"-scene she appeared as a strong woman, but we all know what happened afterwards.

No, I definitely agree! You've basically summed up how I feel about her character! "Let it Go" felt a bit early on in her development, but then again, she wasn't really expecting Anna to come and find her either.
