Can you believe it?I am actually working on the spring version of my Season project.
Might be ages until I finish it - quite a few things that bother me - A LOT - but I needed a change from the guys I painted lately and from the other commissions I am working on..
Wanna know some of the ideas behind this?
Well her dress for once should resemble a caterpiller a tiny bit - and also the dynamic parts of her dress act both as wings and flower petals (well that is what I would like to try..it is all still pretty rough).
More ideas I am toying with but I they are not obvious yet.
Made a sketch in photoshop and am coloring as always in PS 7 at the moment..

Wow!! itΒ΄s very good!! I only have problems with the colors, purple is very "dark" to spring, it need to be a little brighter...I donΒ΄t know, I think you can put some yellows and oranges to contrast and give some light.
I love purple hihihi but I donΒ΄t associate it so much with spring. Purple is a misterious color and Spring has that feeling that everything is showing up.

I do like the pose although it seems like she has a bit of an ache in her back. I love the colours and especially the composition (on purpose or not, I looks like she comes out of a flower, spring, beautyfull). One question though. One half of her dress seems to be more transparent than the other. Intentional?

hehe, looking good so far kyena. She does seem to have a slightly sloping lean, but i think that crit has been given already. It's always a good feeling to be well into the journey of creating a piece of art. Nice

I like the purples. Most people wouldn't associate a cold color like purple with spring, but it reminds me of the pretty flowers that grow in my yard around spring and summer. I think she looks beautiful. I really like the motion of her dress

Was mir nur auffΓ€llt, ist dieses... Lila-Sein... FrΓΌhling wird meistens in allen mΓΆglichen PastelltΓΆnen von grΓΌn bis pink dargestellt, aber alles lila? Is mal was anderes!
Wirkt dadurch nur etwas dunkel, hΓ€tte nicht gedacht, dass es der FrΓΌhling sein soll... aber sonst: SchΓΆn! ^____________^

only thing I'm not liking is her jaw.. it looks a bit too big, especially on the right (her left) side.
I really love the colours, and her cloths.. also her outstretched hands look very nice.
