Delicate Arch - Arches National Park, Moab, Utah.This was a bit of a chore getting a shot without people in the picture...A lot of the people where not being considerate of others and some even hung out underneath the arch itself for probably 30-40 minutes-and they were there before I even arrived!!! There was a good amount of people who were extremely aggravated with them! After waiting 30-40 minutes for these people to move, I shot like crazy for about 5 minutes before another set of people moved in. This was amazing to see and well worth the 1.5 mile hike to get to!

Great shot! I have been to Arches once before but never made the hike to Delicate Arch because of all the people. We were able to check it out from across the canyon but this is just awesome!

Late to the party, but I like seeing Delicate Arch from a different angle. Nice job. I sympathize with you about the idiots who linger on the arch when others are waiting to shoot pictures.

Yeah, especially when their was a sign on the trail that specifically said in bold english "DO NOT BE AN ARCH HOG!" with a cartoon illustration...haha but then again, I might be asking for too much when I expect common sense from people in this day and age...

Awesome arch... I love the wide angle distortion and the effect it gives... This side of the arch looks so well exposed... Is this HDR or did you use a flash or something to brighten up?

Thanks! Yeah, I used two exposures on this one. One for my sky and one for the arch. Considering how long I had to wait to get the shot, I was fortunate when the clouds opened enough for the sun to shine thru.

This is an awesome shot. That 1.5 mile hike is definitely worth it. I made that hike about 3 weeks ago. That place was beautiful and the tourists had to go sit under it and upset many a photographer. Anyways this is a wonderful shot, good choice of lens, it adds to the shot.

Canyonlands NP is gorgeous. There was a storm over part of the canyon while we were there. It was amazing. If I had a better camera and a tripod I could have gotten some amazing photos. We covered a lot of ground in 14 days, it was crazy
