Description [EDIT 3/5/10 - did some major revamping on this picture today. Resized some things, fixed the hair, refined the effects, shading, and background.]

Arggh I did this whole thing in one night *dead*

Was waiting on some friends who were having last-minute computer trouble to send some files for printing for A-Kon. I got this crazy idea that maybe I could squeeze out one more new picture by the time I had to send off for the prints. Man I'm tired!

Too much shiny desu... and I thought I was finally getting over that, curses!

You're no plagiarizer...you're 100% true & genuine.Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.
Besides,there are so many animes & characters today that you can't make a character that something about it doesn't resemble to some anime character no matter how much you try.
There's always some similarity..if it's the hair,the eyes or something else.

Oh,BTW do you still paint in Painter?
I would use that program but it doesn't have addition layer which makes things really difficult when i want to transfer something i've made in SAI or Photoshop to Painter.

Yeah I still use painter for soft coloring and background stuff. I never use the addition layer setting, what does it do? I would think Painter has something similar.

Addition is a layer for making highlights
Example:

Addition layer:

Maybe Painter has something similar but imagine that you start to color in Photoshop,you make more then 10 addition layers & then you want to paint something that's only possible in Painter so you want to upload it there but since it doesn't have addition it uploads like normal layers...annoying.

Ah. Just use Screen mode instead, it does the same thing. All programs I know of have screen mode. That's what I use for highlights.

Addition gives more life in the color,it makes it more vibrant & gives much better lighting effect,look:

well it depends on the colors you use. if you use more bright, saturated colors on the screen layer it will look more vibrant. I usually use the glow tool in painter on a layer set to screen for highlights.

Glow tool??Where's that located?...oh,ups found it..it's in F-X brushes.It gives a really good lighting effect,thanks.I really haven't used Painter in long,long time..i need to remember again how to work with it.To bad you don't make any tutorials anymore,i simply loved the clouds & the Painter tutorial.

i use the glow tool for all kinds of effects, like light and atmospheric stuff, it's pretty nifty But it's also easy to over use, haha *guilty of that*

I like how the colors in this are dominantly blue, it gives off this feeling, but my English skillz are failing me at the moment.

The tattoo on his back that’s not permanent? Cool idea having them appear whenever a power is used.
