God bless the poor little guy...I have been feeding 3 stray kittens since I moved into my apartment 2 months ago. On Monday I found one of them sick and crying, so I picked him up and took him home. His eyes were all squinty and he had the sniffles, poor baby. I gave him a bath and let him sleep in a towel on my lap.
On Tuesday he seemed alot better. He was following me around my apartment and would sit on my foot, all he wanted was to be near me (I've decided he thought I was a big kitty) so I let him sit on his towel on my lap, but he kept climbing up on my shoulder and just sitting there happily rubbing his face in my hair, or pressing his little face against mine. I showed Brian on my cam and we decided he was a little parrot cuz he sat on my shoulder. He was dirty...and didnt look all that great (I gave him a bath but it didnt help much) but I let him cuddle me anyway cuz he was sick and it made him happy. I thought he was going to get better...
On Wednesday when I got home from class he was not doing well at all...I had been calling the Humane Society for three days and they wouldnt call me back. He stopped moving...he would just lay there all limp and wouldnt hold his head up. He would cry from time to time but that was it. I called all the vets in the phone book near me...I tried to find him help...nobody would help me ;_; I took him outside cuz I thought the sun and fresh air would perk him up, and then I just held him in his towel and talked to him (yes I talk to kitties)
Nobody would help me, not even when I was on the phone to a vet in tears. He died in my hands. I was horrified. I sobbed and sobbed...
I loved that little kitten, I want the happy parrot back.
((pen messed up a few times while I inked this, and I kept crying, touched it up on photoshop cuz the scan looked horrible))

God fscking stupid non helping bastards. That just pisses me off and makes me sad at the same time. Well I'll be damned if that little kitty isn't still with you now, it wouldn't leave you after that. You still have your little parrot, no worries man.

Laaaina... ;_______; Everything will be okay. The kitty is in a better place now.. Or even be living a new life as a happy little kitten out on a farm somewhere.. Whichever theory applies... But I'm sure he was happy to go. He was suffering and you did your best to make him better. There's nothing else you can do, but do realize that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

He's a happy angel kitty now, and maybe now he'll be my gaurdian angel kitty and sit on my shoulder all the time ^^

Poor thing...I understand how bad it must have felt. There was a cat that lived around the dumpster near my work, and even though I didn't really have any contact with it, I still liked it. So when I found it dead on the road (hit by a car) leaving work one night, I felt terrible. I cried when I went back to my work to ask for a bag to put it's body in so it wouldn't get mangled and smashed into the street...
