Inspiration: Several stock images floating around. In particular, I tried really hard to replicate the wings on one of them. What can I say? I was really impressed with the initial design. Credit for that goes to www.istockphoto.com/user_view.…

So this is the Phenix Orientis (Dog Latin for "Rising Phoenix"), the symbol of the Sanjuran Holy Empire, one of the factions in a different setting I'm working on (albeit in the same universe as the Lambda Project). It was chosen to honour a pact forged between the First Emperor Sanjurion and the Phoenix God, Gaurdew. It is, without exception, used as a representation of either the pact, the Imperial Family (when they're somehow involved in a project), the Empire in general, or Gaurdew himself.
