Wow, that is so beautiful - I love the different textures and color combinations on the trees and their bases. They look great as a group - well done

They seem like they should be teeny weeny, like those truck stop glass doodads.
But, being bigger makes them super fucking cool.

Interesting. These are some very unique pieces.
What did you make the clouds with? Was it an enamel, a frit, some type of pixie dust?
It looks like you used an enamel on the trees to give them a sort of matted appearance.
Your work is an inspiration to many of us fellow glass workers.

Pixie dust indeed! haha.
No... All coloration in these pieces is done with powders (Aside from the sky part which is powders over a pale turquoise overlay. Just applied differently in each area. But every other color is powder.
No enamels or frits involved

i always enjoy how you can go from different styles while still maintaining similar concepts of nature and form. Not as industrial as your metal/glass pieces, but they definitely got the iLan-ness to them.

so then would they be hollow things holding air or would they be more literal?

Hmmmm... Another interesting point! I was originally thinking, just visually "sky"... So much to ponder!

This composition was completely accidental, I assure you. I was just putting a bunch of the trees on the sweep, and they just happened to end up getting arranged in this way. Sometimes it just works out that way!

I never would have thought you could make so many different looking tress, but still keep the composition together so well. Amazing job - your glasswork never ceases to floor me!
