Description
Heaven is too high and I am just a broken man.
My wings are torn and battered, in every way they bend;
There is nowhere to soar with these scars on my hands,
No purpose for this fallen angel but still this life never ends.
On and on I go with nowhere in mind.
But the sooner I get to where I'm going I won't have to pretend,
That the life I'm experiencing will indeed someday mend.
The wounds are too deep now and the scars I know will never fade.
There I watch time sleep now and the light will never turn from shade.
I've just forgotten the times when I got down on my knees and prayed.
I will never be forgiven for the mayhem that I have made.

Plaguing my surroundings since my time on this earth began.
My only thing to fear is that never will I fly.
Born with wings but never can I soar,
Through the pearly gates of a new beginning, a new life, a new being, a new existence, nevermore.
So there I sit with tattered wings in the constants of this twilight,
There I side with existence to my left or death to my right,
Wrists crying crimson tears all at my own expense,
The hell is over now, the end of my existence.
The wounds are too deep now and the scars I know will never fade.

So much demonic power in a small steel blade.
This fallen angel has met his end and now is my last serenade.
