Glistening,
Reflecting light like a long forgotten diamond
brought up against
the blinding rays of the sun,
it waits.

Lifting my finger to the windows of my soul,
I catch that diamond of emotion
and there it stays.
Never losing its shine,
never losing its purpose.

This diamond reflects the light of my
past life, and life as I know it now,
showing me both things that
have kept me on my feet,
and brought me to my knees.

I am blind in this sight I call my life.

Looking closer, I see
it shines on what you have done for me.
Its glistening reflects the truth of my feelings about you.
There's nothing more I can do,
but ask you if you will care;
Because this tear I shed for you,
like the fire in my soul,
It's the calling that's inside me,
that only you can answer.
