Description
EDIT: since people are apparently having trouble (lol), you need to DOWNLOAD this tutorial to see the full view. come on guys xDpart II: [link]
PHEW!
ok so like i said, i've been working on a book binding tutorial, since i know that i would've been so grateful for something like this back when i didn't have a clue how to make a book but really wanted too
this took me all day, so i hope it's helpful, and i hope you can understand what i'm going on about xD some parts were really difficult to explain in writing...
and it includes all my secrets, so i hope those of you who do give it a go appreciate it!
obviously this is only part I, and it includes making your covers and inside pages. hopefully i'll be able to put more work into finishing it tomorrow, otherwise i won't be able to get the rest up till after christmas and you'll all be stuck with half a book lol!
this is going to be the same style of book as this one: [link]
in case you were interested in having a look at what it will look like when it's done
ANYWAY. if you do take a stab at bookmaking and you use my tutorial give me a shout, i'd love to see how you do!
and if there are any questions so far, post them here and i'll gladly answer them if i can

Wow. I always thought bookbinding was some arcane process passed down from generation to generation in a secret society. Or something like that lol.
I'm gonna rummage through all my old craft stuff that has been waiting patiently for this moment and make myself a sketchbook. When people ask me where I got it I'll say, "Arcane process passed down from generation to generation yo!"
I think I have a new hobby! Thanks for the great tutorial!

FINALLY, a complete and easy-to-understand tutorial on how to make a nice book. I've been looking for something like this for months. Now I won't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money on pre-made ones, and the gifts will mean more. I'll most definitely give you credit when I give it a shot. Thank you! DD well deserved.

Thank you for making this! I've seen a few people on here who make their own books and always wanted to but never known whether I could or not. Now I've seen this I might have a fighting chance. Thank you, I'm glad you got a DD for it!

I tried a mockup and while scruffy it came out rather successful I thought, in terms of it holding together and everything. Hmm, let's see if I can make some good enough for birthdays now... Thanks again!

Very nice tutorial!!
also, if you have some wallpaper left over, it has a very nice texture, and with a little paint you can fake leather for the cover...
cloth make a good effect too
congrats for the DD!!
