Well that is what the Amulet Coin's actual description is in-game, however I haven't seen it used in the anime.

I wonder how this thing works. Maybe it hypnotizes the loser of the battle to make it rain on your PokΓ©mon.

Never thought about that. Β Hmm...oh well, that's video game logic for ya! Β Though the fact that its called Amulet, I would assume magic, like a wish. Β I guess you gotta look into the origins of Meowth and his charm. Β Maybe there's some Japanese tale about it, who knows.

Amulet Coin...because the Mugging Charm was too literal for a name. Y'know, I never thought about its effects whenever I played, but now that you mention it, it doesn't make sense. Great job though. I always love reading your comics.

I read once that swimmers do not carry money because they're, well, swimming.
So does the amulet coin magically poof up some more money? Maybe it accesses the enemy trainers savings account. If so that's messed up.

whosaskin In reply to Rizhnir [2014-08-09 16:51:45 +0000 UTC]
Well, they could carry paper money, except you may not want it after you see where it came from, if you know what I mean.

I would take her side if not for the fact that if YOUR player loses, you lose a HELL of a lot more than any opponent ever pays you.
