Yumiko was born long before the Edo period, in the Sengoku period (Warring States Period) where she lived with her large family. Her father was a tea master who's name reached far and wide. Yumiko's life was a simple one but a happy one. Her parents were very kind but strict towards her and her siblings. They always had food to eat and warm beds at night.

As Yumiko grew up her beauty became well known along with her ability to play the Koto, something she and her sisters learned from their mother, and started to gain marriage offers from men. A handsome Samuari managed to catch Yumiko's attention who stayed at a inn near her family's home and spent many days trying to get her parents approval, but both kept turning the young man away as nothing good could come from marrying a warrior

Having fallen in love with the man, Yumiko slipped away one night from her home and ran off with him to elope. She never saw her family again. She spent her early adult years with the warrior, being very happy with him. Although she was happy with him days grew rough with the up rise of bandits and the Onin war. Being pregnant at the time, food grew very little and Yumiko feared she would not have enough nourishment to feed herself and their unborn child. When her husband was called away to fight in the war, Yumiko did her best to make a living and grow her own food to save money.

Wasn't until one night, a group of bandits came into the small town and started to loot the place and setting everything that could burn, on fire. Yumiko was caught by the thugs along with other young women and taken back to their camp just to be raped many times over. How many days, went by Yumiko lost count but the men refused to share their food with the women so one by one the women started to die due to starvation.

On the verge of death she was taken by the men to a small cliff near by and tossed over where the other women were taken to. The fall wasn't enough to kill her for she landed on some bushes. The last thing Yumiko saw were the bandits that stood at the top of the cliff looking down at her laughing and acting like she was just a piece of trash. Filled with rage and hate she swore before she took her last breath she will have her revenge not only for herself but for the other women and her unborn child.

Months later, the young woman found herself staring up at the night sky. She heard laughter in the distance and the smell of smoke. The moment she heard a woman's screams and cries for help, memories of the past horror she dealt with, flooded back to her. With raging anger she removed herself from the spot at the bottom of the cliff that was now filled with human skeletons and new decaying remains of dead animals, and sought after the bandits at their camp site. Wasn't for long til screams of pain and horror filled the night air.

Centuries past by and Yumiko traveled all over Japan believing that Izanami-no-Mikoto given her a gift to come back. She was able to learn to control certain abilities she was bestowed with but her desire to punish men of all types never left her mind. She will never forget her pain.
