I would love an action figure of this! I think what stands out most to me is the stocky look created by the broader neck meeting the head in the front view pic. I also like the TV21 elements like the speaker grill in the gun box.

"Davros to command."
"Yes Davros?"
"We have had a bit of an... accident involving a test subject and our Mark Two Travel Machine. It fired at our test subject and succeeded in... exterminating him."
"Understood. We'll be sending some Mark One Travel Machines to clean up."Β

-oh, and what is the little turbine thing on the chest? Wide-arc gun? Forcefield broadcast unit? All-o'the-above multipurpose tool?

Well, I think it was supposed to be a speaker, in the original 'Dalek Book' art. However, I'd lean towards a multipurpose interface - a sort of hybrid antenna/speaker/computer jack unit. That would make most sense, I think, in the prototype - a way to plug it in while they tested the systems.

I particularly like both extremes of your Dalek designs - both the extremely advanced New Paradigms, and the plausibly clunky and low-tech early models. CanI ask, what is the purpose of the disk on the front?

As I've just posted below, I'm going to say it's a multipurpose interface - a way to connect the machine to the Bunker computers while it's put through its paces.
It's been very fun to explore how the Daleks have evolved, to fill in the gaps and make it all make sense. And very satisfying to get it finished!

Fantastic. If you could only go back and insert this into "Genisis of the Daleks".
