this is the wedgetail eagle and his keeper - i think he loved her.he was so affectionate to her. remarkable. i think from memory they had only been training together for a short time - a few months.
this was my fave photo from the day.
* so many comments have stemmed from this one image. really moving words that make me so proud to be able to share the image with you.

Looking at this picture brightens my day. This picture is quite emotinal and absoutly beautiful. I too believe that he loved his keeper. There is nothing that can compare to the innocent love that comes from an animal and this picture quite honestly depicts that genuine love!

I found this deviation through `Ashwings 's favorites gallery.
I must say - this is one of the most profound photos I have ever seen in my life. The emotion visible here is incredibly remarkable. The lines and shape of her mouth, in reaction to the eagle's nuzzling of her neck & chin - both aspects of the photo scream the emotion they have for each other. I think you're entirely right - they most certainly love each other.
Just absolutely blown away. This is beautiful. Thank you for capturing this moment. If you ever have a chance to find/meet this woman again - I think she would really appreciate a copy of the photograph.
