Description
It could be his rejection and defeat, or it could be the first time he fell in love with Sarah. Both are painful, thrilling falls. A little melodramatic for me, but it gets the point across. (I'm lame!)I'm stuck on that long panel look. This whole thing was an excuse to draw the animal bones on the shoulders of Jareth's owl coat in the last act of Labyrinth, and you can't see much of them. I want to do another.
This one was frustrating and I don't know how I feel about it. I did it during a bad cold, so I was cranky and stuffy and inclined to half-ass it. Goddamn, I don't know what I was thinking with all the fabric. Never again, unless I get some skills.
The title kind of needs explaining; I've been really heartbroken twice in my life, and both times the only thing that made me feel better was listening to "Drowndeep: Hula" by Maxwell. It's an undulating, underwater song, appropriately embryonic, like a good Codeine fog. It put a new feeling to the word "hula".

Oh, no. It's just that when I saw that piece, it made me think. "Now, why would the artist draw Jareth with arrows in his chest?" Then, I saw that he was wearing the same outfit from the end of the movie(nicely done, by the way). So, that line just popped into my head. A metaphor for his situation, so to speak. All he wanted was for Sarah to stay with him and love him. But, understandably, she rejected him, saved her brother, and decided to go back home. But I think that if Jareth really loved her, he should have gone about getting her attention entirely differently. I mean, how does this sound. "Oooh, I love Sarah. But how to get her to notice me? I know! I'll steal her baby brother and threaten to turn him into a goblin unless she can solve my Labyrinth, which is full of dangers untold and hardships un-numbered, in 13 hours. Best. Plan. Ever." *smacks Jareth in the back of the head* HELLO!!! Whatever happened to flowers and chocolate?!?! *sigh* Anyway, Jim Henson is still a cinematic genius, may he rest in peace.

Your work is marvelous, and you should feel confident about it. It has a very structured style without being emotionally or kinetically restrained at all- for instance, this would make a great tattoo or stained glass window, because the movement is very much in the lines.

Regardless of the subject, this is a wonderful work of art! I love the flow and feeling. Also in love with the choice of shades and colors. Over all, nice work!

Oh, wow, he looks so surreal. And I'm guessing those arrows are the personified object of the pain he feels? Great job on everything, the detail of that outfit is incredible, especially how it seems to defy gravity.

I love the movement from the clothes to his hair. Jareth is one of those characters you never forget and you could never hate (no matter how hard you try! He is one of my faves.)
