Despite being the youngest (granted only by a few minutes), Hiroki is probably the most mature out of his two older siblings. He's often the referee to most of their fights, not that he can solve all of them. He frequently finds himself being the counselor or a mother figure to Hiroaki's crying episodes, and is quite the expert on getting his second oldest brother to cheer up. Hiroki doesn't look up to them in terms of personality, and finds himself exasperated with the amount of fights they get into. Or rather, he's exasperated by Hiroyuki's inability to communicate properly with Hiroaki. Sometimes, if Hiroki is in a bad mood, he will join in the fight, but this is a rare occurrence. He's normally a cool-headed person.

Underneath his seemingly strong, mature, grounded personality however, he is still the youngest and has had his own insecurities. However, even from childhood, he has had difficulties conveying them to his brothers, and instead of talking about them he'll keep it to himself. He hates troubling others, though the fact that he doesn't look up to his brothers as role models probably makes it worse. (Despite all of that, Hiroki does still love his brothers dearly, and would actually be very upset if they were ever separated. Also, if anyone were to say something against his brothers, he would become defensive for them.)

As for what he's like around people in general, Hiroki is a very social person. He's the type that will say, "hi" to anybody he "bumps into" along the way to his destination. He also won't hesitate to go up to a person that he hasn't met before, much to his eldest brother's upset. Amusingly, Hiroki also unknowingly sweet talks. He's a natural at it, but he doesn't realize that he's actually doing it.

♥ H i s t o r y :

Hiroki was the youngest out of his siblings, both of which were boys. They were also triplets and were delivered into the world only a few minutes apart from each other. Hiroki and his two older brothers were born and raised deep in a forest in Japan, quite far from human civilization. Here the forest was undisturbed by human hands, and life went on without human interference. They lived here with Kitsune just like them, as well as other Japanese mythical creatures.

But when their leisurely life was interrupted, it was a drastic blow to these mythical beings. Japan was being forced to modernize. The foreigners from the west were imperializing on their land, and so that they wouldn't be forced into a series of unfair treaties, they decided to adapt their ways. Unfortunately for Hiroki, his family, and the other mythical creatures, as the cities grew, the forests shrank and started to die. Many older mythical creatures were connected to spiritually to the land, and as more trees were cut down, more of them began to perish, including Hiroki's parents.

Many of the younger mythical creatures, like Hiroki and his brothers, were orphaned, and a good number fled to the cities to blend in with the other humans. They hoped that they would be able to survive; they were still kids and hadn't seen enough to satisfy them. Unfortunately, their plan to blend in failed. This generation of humans seemed to have forgotten about the myths that said that they were signs of peace and protection. Instead, once their true nature was revealed, the humans viewed them as evil presences. Hiroki's and his brothers' days were filled with death threats, and they soon fled back to whatever remained of the forest to hide in fear of being killed or beaten.

Hiroki as a child was very brave, or perhaps reckless is a better word for it. He was just as frightened by the humans as his brothers were, but he still went exploring to the edge of the forest, and sometimes into the humans' gardens. He loved sneaking around and trying to not get caught; it was exciting! One day, while he was exploring, Hiroki discovered a circus. He didn't know what it was at the time, but the enormous tents, the animals, and the costumes piqued his interest. It was literally unlike anything he had seen before! Excitedly, the young child ran back into the forest to fetch his brothers; and after a few picks and Hiroyuki's ego, the three triplets made their way towards Hiroki's discovery.

The set up amazed Hiroki's two older brothers, much to the youngest child's satisfaction, and quickly they snuck into one of the tents through a hole that Hiroyuki made in the ground. Hiroki could barely keep his ears flat on his head as he watched the people in the tent do amazing stunts and tricks. It looked so magical! But the thing that interested the triplets the most, was the man that seemed like he was playing with a "magic bubble". After the man went away, leaving the balls on a wooden crate, the siblings snuck up to the "magic bubbles", and voted that Hiroyuki should go and investigate first. He was the best at magic after all. Hiroki watched nervously as his brother hesitantly reached for the "magic bubbles," only to blink disbelievingly when the oldest of the three said that it felt hard like the balls they used to play with. Hiroki watched as Hiroaki also reached for another, and after "Yuki's" statements were confirmed, he too snatched one from off the crate. The three later learned that this act was called "contact juggling".

Hiroki and his brothers practiced everyday, especially Hiroki. The youngest triplet was slow at learning the trick and got really frustrated when he wasn't able to do it correctly. But despite all of this, he, like his brothers, wanted to stay with the circus and continue perfecting their newfound trick. So they found a place to hide in it before it left. Inevitably, they were soon discovered, and Hiroki along with his brothers pleaded with them to let them stay. They knew nothing about circus life but they would work hard to keep up with everyone, and they would learn quickly. Hiroki definitely didn't want to go back to the life they had before, living in the fear that soon all the forest would be gone. He practiced diligently with his brothers to prove that they could make it, and that they wouldn't be a burden to anyone else there.
