my pet beetle helpin out with some photography.this pic has been in my head for a while and buggin the hell outta me...if ya know what i mean.
2 strobes..one w/soft light reflector, one w/umbrella for fill.

i've been looking long for something to light up my eyes since getting back on here.
this really caught my attention. the detailed specs of colors on the bug, the idea of having a bug so close to my face, the tight cropping, smoothness of the skin, amazingly well done makeup, and i adore how well the colors of the eyes matches.
but there is one thing that bothers me. the hair on the bottom left of the photo. wish it wasn't there. oh and i wish both eyebrows were visible as well, but i could understand why.

great colour and contrast. i think that the lighting and angle makes your face appear 2-dimensional, and that bothers me for some reason. it seems you were going for the washed out look here. but burning in the right hand side would make the composition a little more balanced in terms of the tones, and focus more attention on the triangle made with your eyes and the beetle. just my thoughts.

I really like the concept, but the composition bothers me a bit. I think it has to do with the placement of your eyes; maybe if it were shited a bit so that your left eye was closer to the upper right???
