Following on from this Gary Archer finally located Avril. John was introducing her to some of the Havillands' horses, Fabio being the nearest one when 'Gazza' hove into view. he was pleased to see his little girl safe and well- although she was still wearing Jenny's dressing gown!- and he handed over a sports bag full of clean clothes so she could get changed.Bunny doesn't look too sure about Gazza and neither to be honest does Fabio.
Drawn on cartridge paper with a propelling pencil,
Inked with Pitt pens,
scanned and coloured in Photoshop.

Gazza was supposed to look like a particular indigenous variety of bloke who lives in Essex. I was at a restaurant last week and I saw a man who looked exactly like this, I had great fun watching him and making up a backstory about what he might have done as a job.

I especially like John's pose of being perched on the fence while patting Fabio. The fanciful decoration adorning Avril's speech certainly can make one imagine how lilting her voice must sound!

I love how Avril's speech bubbles are coloured and decorated, it's really neat way of getting across the differences in the way a character speaks!

Thank you, again it is a throwback to Asterix the Gaul, different fonts etc were always used to denote different languages in the comic ( Or the English Translation at least) which is why I use different fonts on computer generated art and different styles of hand lettering on traditionally drawn art.
You can convey a lot more in speech balloons if you draw them by hand.
