Description

Six and The Guests from Little Nightmares.

"The Guests are an essential part of The Maw’s life-cycle. Herded into the large hall, they slump into their bowing stools, and there they feed. Without taste, without need, without end. And then they leave, one way or another." ~ Little Nightmares

This picture was greatly inspired by this scene from the game - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeKiY7…

Little Nightmares is a wonderfully dark and atmospheric cinematic-platformer, with an amazingly twisted setting and design and a mysterious and cryptic premise. The tale of the little girl known as Six, who wakes up in a suitcase aboard a freaky ship-restaurant known as The Maw, all the while escaping increasingly grotesque adversaries, has really hit me in all the right places. The chase scene where Six has to flee a horde of morbidly obese restaurant guests who are out to gobble her up has especially left an impact on me, hence I really wanted to draw it.

Hope you guys like.

Sure is, a shame the comic was never finished, it added so much to the story and answered certain questions nicely too.

And thank you kindly, glad to hear you enjoy my work ^^

As far as I know, they were heavily hinting they want to expand the LN world through new games, rather than the comics, to avoid the lore being split through multiple mediums.

Hehe, and if you want to see more, you can always add me to your devwatch and be notified whenever I post something new ^^

My style is very time consuming, and I don't have as much free time to draw as I'd wish, but I try to keep the arts coming ^^

But I thought it was cool that you have to puzzle the story
together though other resources to get the full picture
I thought it was creative

it dose look like it takes up jeeps of time
but it would look really nice over a time laps
or something

what the hell ! I thought I always watched you
oh no that will have to be fixed!

Yes, I do agree it was very creative and very nicely done. But at the same time, I can understand how some people might get overwhelmed by this kind of storytelling. It's a double edged sword, as figuring out a certain cryptic part can make you feel great and fulfilled, but at the same time, failing to grasp that meaning can really get you down. So I'm guessing the creators just want to find some form of middle ground.

I still think Hollow Knight did this best. The story and lore were all over the place, and you had to piece it not only from item & enemy descriptions, but also from dialogue, often delivered in a unique way of speaking or requiring a special item to even trigger certain phrases, not to mention using the Dream Nail on both living and dead characters to hear their thoughts and memories... and just when you thought you had it all pieced together, come all the DLC expansions (which are all free) which expand the lore considerably, adding vital pieces to your thought to be complete puzzle.

And yeah, each piece can take from 5 to 100+ hours, depending on complexity and size. And those are all traditionals, so I actually "color" it all with a fineliner XD

Hehe, thank you then, I hope you'll enjoy my future works ^^

Little Nightmares! Another title in my ever growing "to play" list. Looks great man. I like that composition. They got that horde thing going on here... albeit, pudgey and comically sluggish looking. Nighmare-ish nonethelss.

Oh yes, it's definitely a title I'd recommend. If you like cinematic platformers like Another World or Flashback, or better yet Limbo which is the most similar, you'll definitely like this one.

As for the horde, check the clip I included. The Guests might be pudgey and comically sluggish looking when they walk... but they're surprisingly agile and ferocious when crawling on the ground in hunt for food, namely you. The final escape from a horde of hungry guests is one of the most intense moments from the game.

Yeah... sounds as nightmare-ish as they look. Definitely going to check it out one of these days.

Wow!  That's kinda creepy...and very 1970s-ish.  I feel like I've seen something similar, but I can't place where...  Good work!

Thank you kindly ^^

Well, the setting is mostly steampunk with a heavy dose of creepy. To me, it mostly resembles the work of Tim Burton or Studio Laika movies, not to mention games like Limbo or Inside.
