Holy... shit... finally... finished... Β
For all those who were unaware, the Final fantasy series happen to have their 30th anniversary this year, and as a huge FF nut that I am, I certainly wasn't gonna let it pass without a proper tribute. There was much brainstorming about whom or what should I draw as said tribute, since there are so many amazing games in the series and so much once could do with them. But then it hit me, Kefka's final form was borh amazingly designed and really fitting my style, the only problem was how big it was, menaing I will have to work extra hard on it ... so then one part of me was super hyped, another part was anxious as hell about the amount of work it will take, and yet another part was pondering just how to make this work... so after some more brainstorming, this was the final result, a 3-part piece on 3 A4 sheets, combined together by the awesome to whom I'm super thankful for the help.
In the end, it took roughly 104 hours in total from the very first lines of the first sketch up to the last touch ups on the last piece after scanning. This is now the biggest and most complex work I've made so far, as such I would be extremely thankful if you could spare a few minutes to tell me what you think, I really, REALLY ask you for some feedback, please.
Anyways, I guess there's not much reason to go on a wall-of-text rant about the Clown Prince of FF Crime XD we all know him well and we all know how awesome he is. I really hope I managed to capture that amazing insanity in my picture ^^

I think my outright favorite part is the Fourth Movement, when you're fighting Kefka himself.

To me the first 3 phases were cooler, the symbol-heavy design was just really well made and the fight well executed. The last phase was effective as Kefka's last bit of trolling m(and definitely better than the utterly disappointing final showdown with Sephy in FFVII), but just didn't feel as epic.

And you have such an amazing and personal, unique style, I can say, without a doubt, i have never seen an style such as this before, although it does remind me of Tattoo's. But really, where do u inspire or base urself to come to such ideas? It's so creative, and different and these "flame-like" design that embraces all of the drawing, is that ur trademark? I think it's really cool!
U've putted soooo much effort into this, so many hours, I would never be able to focus so muuuch~ Gotta have lots of patiece and persistence, and to create, especially, a lot of tallent! I really like this, I didn't knew u artwork, I'll take a look at ur gallery! Congrats for such good job! ~Β

Like I said, I was really inspired and hyped when I worked on it, a good thing it lasted until I was dfone with it, cause normally I'm a lil' bit intimidated by the bigger pieces.
As for the artstyle, yeah, it was mostly based on tribal tattoos, but I kinda sorta made it into my own unique style, which I have been developting and improving for years now, and will keep improving still >3

Well, like I said, the magnitude of work I'd have to spend on it scared me before I even began working on it, but I was very determined to see if I could make it work, hoping it would look good, hoping I could give this game and this character a fitting tribute. Needless to say, I personally love how it turned out.
But yeah, it is a special case that I will not be repeating anytime soon XD
