Whoa, she must be hard to have in a comic, what with all the added details to draw again and again. XD But other than that, she's looks fun to be around!

Well done, Charlie. It must have taken some time to recreate Zewdi's intricate color detail.

I was dying to see what you were tasked with ah perfection!! I really love the easter egg background you did. I'm still angry with her for not opting for the color scheme I suggested though, here...

Actually she gave me a few choices but I picked Carolee because the design is just so cute ^^
(Even though she was the most complicated of the characters Meg listed :/ )
Your color scheme is neat too though c:

Always go for most complicated because it's the most fun, especially for me since I try my best not to make my designs too complicated, it makes it fun to get to do something that is.
OF COURSE IT'S NEAT Manta Ray Girls are the only true explanation for the mystery of the Easter Bunny, there's no other possibility!

Yeah, that's what I like about your designs.
They can be pretty detailed sometimes but they still seem...I dunno, replicable?
I like that.
Manta Ray Girls are the meaning of life, man \:

I don't like going into excessive detail, it isn't even out of laziness it's just for accessibility and it looks nicer I feel, things start to look very, immobile once they have Final Fantasy levels of shit thrown on them, the most detailed my species get are probably my Seeborg, I can't think of anything I put more on than them. The more you put on something the less functional of a design it becomes, and I can't 'animate' them well in comic panels.
They are, we're named after them, after all, MANta

That's true. Good cartoon design needs to be simple enough to redraw quickly.
Obviously CGI animators don't really have that problem so they can just throw as much little crap on a character as they like, but for the rest of us, efficient replicability is essential ^^
Dude, that goes double for Indy comickers like yourself who have o do everything on their own :0
Hey, while were talking about it, what do you think about my character designs?
Err, what I mean is, do you consider them to be complicated?
I've been told by some people that they're simple and by others that they're complicated :T
Thoughts?

By CGI animators are you talking about 3D animation, like a FF: Spirits Within or Shrek thing? HAHA in their case who cares if something's excessive! If your character's got a billion freaking things all over that would make animating and movement difficult, oh who gives a damn if things clip they clip NO ONE WILL NOTICE. Even some of the most fluid animation I can think of always sticks to simplicity. I always approach making my comics as making a storyboard, because it's essentially what it is, because the stories play out animated and like a film or real life in my head so I have to just take snippets of it, keyframes. It's especially difficult for me, even drawing basic comics with simple things, like my freaking Bugs Hangover designs which are basically just simple shapes with sticks even they take up lots of time.
I think your stuff's on par with mine, basically equal in terms of design excess, there is none, it's all a good balance I can't think of any character or even big evil baddie that's overly designed. Which is a good thing. I don't see how someone could say your stuff is too complicated haha!
