Description
Now up for sale!www.etsy.com/ca/listing/199595β¦
Personal project this time, great learning piece!
Used a bunch of images from the Library of the University of Wisconsin for this piece, there are some stunning anatomical pieces in there. The muscle system has always been a soft spot of mine <3
Hopefully going to do more in this style, up for suggestions for animals!

It's so cool! I would love to study on that but how long did it took to finish this one? Pretty complex!
as for animals, I think the horse is an interesting model for sculptures, or maybe the wolf? There so, e pretty cool antelopes that can be awesome models too!

Thanks!
I'm hoping to be able to do some more animals, a horse like you mentioned would be an awesome project. I'm hoping to maybe do some busts too, to show off the more delicate facial muscles.

Very nice. can I suggest trying one of each animal type? bird, fish, bat? to go with this the lion (mammal)
maybe a bipedal mammal would be different too

Sure!
I have a kangaroo in mind, so that may cover the bipedal mammal. And I definitely want to try a bat now!

This is super cool! And very well done too. Using references really does help a lot, as a fellow sculptor I gotta say, I really am gladΒ I am able to use the internet for so many of them. Though I imagine that having access to university libraries must be super amazing!

What a great thing to do, that's a lot of detailed work. I've drawn like this for educational purposes. Hadn't though of doing it in clay. Nice job

Thank you!
I've done many muscle and anatomy studies on paper as well, but a 3D medium gives it a different effect.
