Description Having a bit of Jurassic fun. There was a time when if I saw an image like this, I would have had no idea how it was made.
Renderers are a tiny minority of Deviantart members, so here's a few words about how it was done.

It's a 3D single pass render, where everything you see is 3D computer graphics. I used Photoshop to give it a bit of a drawn or cartoon style.
Single pass render means it was all rendered in a single go. Some people like to do multiple pass renders because it can help with doing some things in post work. Basically it creates a set of layers which can be manipulated with Photoshop or other image editing software. Often used for adding effects such as blurs, fog, glows, and for light, colour or texture adjustment. I have tried that too, but I found it to be unnecessary for my work. I can reach the results I want with single pass renders with less hassle in less time.

Here's an oldie with dinosaurs I did over 10 years ago with Vue

Rendered with Daz Studio Iray.
2880 x 1080 pixels, 8:3 ratio.

Isn't that a Land Rover rather than a Jeep?

Yes, but we call all terrain vehicles "jeeps" over here

Great picture. I really like the muddy and grungy look of the Land Rover - adds a lot of realism.

It looks great!

The Photoshop post work really makes it more artistic.  The reflection at the puddle is nice too.

Nice! I love the throw-back to Jurassic Park. I do single pass renders as well and you can achieve great results with single pass renders. However I think multiple pass renders is the way forward to advance your skill set and my skill set.

I have a challenge for you. Can you do the scene in the night with rain effects? It would remind me of the scene from Jurassic Park 1, where the T-Rex chases them in the jeep.

Thank you

Yes, I could ... but as I haven't done a rain scene with Daz Studio before and I want things to be at the world origo 0,0,0 when trying new things, I chose to make a new scene with the jeep and dinosaur in the night and rain. I'll probably post it later today, unless I see too dramatic flaws in the final render and need to re-render.
