Description I was challenged yesterday if I could make this   into a night and rain scene. Well, yes, I could, but I didn't put the scene together with that in mind.

I haven't done a rain scene with Daz Studio before, so I chose to make a new scene as I want things to be at world origo 0,0,0 when trying new things. In the other image things are from it.
Added a Genesis 8 female too, so I could try out wet skin, wet clothes and wet hair at the same time.
Everything in the image is rendered, no post work. Used no atmospheric volumetrics (fancy term for fog/mist/haze) so I can see what's going on (and faster render).
One reason I don't like doing things and effects like this is that final render times tend to get ridiculously long. This rendered for 5 hours and was a bit over 30% converged, suggesting a full convergence time of 15-20 hours or more.

Rendered with Daz Studio Iray.
1920 x 1280 pixels, 3:2 ratio.

would have been safer to stay in the jeep, if the rex hasn't spot her in it.

I thought the rings in the puddle looked pretty neat

I think her idea of running for cover may be good, depending on where she is heading, but the screaming is a bad idea

No worries, that explains why I found what you said a bit confusing
I would assume it is an educated guess they are making and quite possible it is so I wonder if the T-Rex could run, or if they were limited to something more like a rapid walk because of their size and mass?

Good job on using all the rain/wetness props!

Rain is pretty light, but, as you write, you still wanted to see things. With heavier rain the dino would have been hard to see.

Is this a CPU or a GPU render? I found that rain props like this one affect CPU render time more.

GPU and it still takes forever with my GTX 1080 Ti.

Holy !  I suspect the ray-tracing through all the drops is super complex.
