Description A Flash Animation Tutorial for people who have never used Macromedia Flash before and totally drown in the technicalities
of all those tutorials online.

I hope it will be useful... I'm often a bit chaotic when it comes to explaining things ^_^;

Good thing this tutorial has about 100 screenshots o_o

i have corel rave but this is pretty similar, do u know how to animate mouths on things 9and i don't mean when you just cut a section of the mouth and move it up and down) i mean like making a little animated mouth

I mostly redraw the mouth... mouths aren't that hard to draw

i got lost on step 8 of the preloader tutorial..... you said to return to the preloader timeline....but you never said in any previous steps, to get off the preloader timeline..... my loadbar doesnt do what yours did when you returned to the preloader timeline.....maybe its because i am using adobe CS4?

Well... when you make a new symbol, flash automatically makes a tab where you work on the symbol timeline.
I'm not sure how CS4 works, I haven't been able to work on that version yet o_o

To return to the main timeline is to find the tab that has the name of your movie in it.

I made this tutorial so that people wanting to make flash didn't get as frustrated as when I started using flash.

Well, I've finished... and guess what?
Before I've even finished... the teacher had already decided what to give me, which should be full marks (I'm not 100% sure, but I'm 99.999999999% sure ^^).

Moreover, everyone loved it!!! I would have never been able to do it if it wasn't for you WONDERFUL tutorial!!!

That was the most informative and clear tutorial I've found on a program. Thanks for posting it. Considering I am not very good at learning new programs, more so considering I've been using nothing but Photoshop for the past 10 years, I was rather frightened about moving to a new program, but this was very informative and took the edge off of plunging into something new. I can't thank you enough.

When I started flash, it's so different from any program and it took so long to understand the program. I hoped I could help new users prevent getting frustrated with the program because when you know how to use it, its an awesome program.

It is alright, I tend to be late replying at times as well. And you are more then welcome.

Sounds a bit like me with Photoshop, which I learned entirely on my own. I now create tuts for Pentool and vectors just so others can understand it bit more.

My plans to try working with Flash seemed to be put on hold due to people demanding I create a new manga, but I'll keep this tut in mind when I finally do have time to work with the program.
