I think it's my first time doing a pencil background.
So even if this doesn't win in the contest or anything. I still loved working on it. Really missed doing stuff like this.
There will be a second half of Robotropolis in 'spring'.

Very nice work, you did a great job on all of the characters, and it's nice to see them chilling, and relaxing after another adventure. 
I love how Antoine is dreaming of "escargo," nice comical touch with him.

I'm glad you could find almost all the silly happenings. I always liked adding humor to drawings and also as a way to show a bit of the personality of each character. And it was hard just fitting them all in there.
The other things that aren't as obvious because the pencil lines are too dark and smudgy: Antoine has a butterfly on top of his nose, Bunnie's dropping an apple on his head, hence why she's whistling innocently and over the pine trees in the distance are 3 hovercraft coming their way.

I'm sorry, dear, but my art muse's not what it used to. I was gonna get paid $100 for a 10 page comic from the same website that commissioned this one but that was when my art started listening to my will so I can't tell you I'd do it even if I don't mind it for free. Just don't want to disappoint anymore again.

You put so much superb effort and detail into the lake, trees and grass of this wonderful portrait of all of em', each of them look near enough spot on perfect

That's the hardest part in the drawing I'm making.
How to show seasons in a place covered in tech and hidden in pollution? Snow in winter would be the only obvious one if snow does even get through the polluted skies.

Well, you could always gauge Robotnik's moods.
If he's humping the pole you definitely know it's the Springtime.

Eggman's easy to 'gauge' because he can be a goof most of the time. Julian is not so. There's nothing funny about him and portraying his dark side is always my main priority. It's what differs a "Robotnik" from an "Eggman".

I don't like exaggeration. It's a kid's comic/show for God's sake... I think I already made her sensual enough as she is. I did give her a bit too realistic butt for those who pay attention to that. Her breast are just the right way for me. Not too small nor too big. A friend's always saying I need to give Bunnie bigger ones but he's got a fetish with that and I don't like giving sexual meaning to "my" characters.

Even more since I'm a girl and don't see what the big deal with boobs is. Mine are rather annoying and get in the way a lot. >XP

I do love pencil art a lot too and that's why I wanted to push my limits in this one. Been looking at a lot of pencil art lately and got inspired. :]

Keep practicing. Mine wasn't as good some years ago but I keep trying. I actually didn't like drawing backgrounds so I gave myself to challenge of trying them every now and then even if they looked bad. You will learn a lot from looking at other's art.
