Description
This one if for ~mutequacky and ~AlienDragonLover .Started as a render test of the mesh, which was a test of the object output generator I added to this project . This object contains 12.3 million (quad) polygons.
Overall construct is a quaternion Julia fractal (again
Rendering was done with my own software render. Both the ground and fractal have Fresnel effect and some subsurface scattering, the ground also contains a light emitting substance. The sun is near the horizon and a bit towards to the camera to cast some light along the sides of the object.
Enjoy.
Edit:

If minecraft were real, People would be doing this every hour!
This though, is incredible! It's very realistic, and gives me that sense of dangerous heights. The blue, though mirroring, looks to me like a darker, lower section, leading back down to the surface world, whereas the above is as high up in the sky as the creators intended to go...
I that deep?

You are on to something, for sure. The blue surface started as a water material, so the reflection could very well have been the continuation of the structure below (deep indeed ).

Remind me to do something with that Rhodic algebra next time I am in #aposhack.
P.S. Sorry for the reverse text, but when writing it so often it starts to look cheap and thoughtless.

Its the only fractal I've seen that used the principle of space (its not cluttered like the other fractals around).

I try to do things a little bit different, glad that it worked out as I sometimes feel I do it too simple.

For some reason this reminds me of Fez. Good job though! I really like the lighting.

It's pretty neat! Starts off all simple like, but the more you play it, the more neat stuff you find in it. It's also really "zen" with the music and all. I love it.
