Description
This one if for ~mutequacky and ~AlienDragonLover .Started as a render test of the mesh, which was a test of the object output generator I added to this project . This object contains 12.3 million (quad) polygons.
Overall construct is a quaternion Julia fractal (again
Rendering was done with my own software render. Both the ground and fractal have Fresnel effect and some subsurface scattering, the ground also contains a light emitting substance. The sun is near the horizon and a bit towards to the camera to cast some light along the sides of the object.
Enjoy.
Edit:
*In a Keanu Reeves voice* Woah. A DD?!
A huuuge thank you to *PutYourBraveFaceOn and ^SaTaNiA .

they sure are! it's cool with what you came up here, without thinking of architecture or whatever. everything seems connected.

Faved...
What I would like to say:
Thank you Thomas...
This is a very good portrait...of my brain...!
What I will say:
The "lights" are beautifull worked out...
touch down is gentle...
I hold my breath...
not to make any ripples on the blue surface...
not to knock it over...!
What I want to say:
I have "taken" the black frame away...
It gives the figure more "Umphf"...
It pushes out more...towards the edges...!
It becomes more dominant...
Right now it is a litle withdrawn...
(I would bee too...if I were in a black frame)...
Tell me what you make of this...
GHreetings and grats on the DD...Jakob.

First off thank you for the feedback and how you did it, much appreciated. And secondly, a great user name you have.
I think you may be right with the border on this, it is something I add by habit. Usually it is to separate the colours from dA's green or give the right sense of levels with B/W work, but not really needed in this.
Tak skal du ha'.

They surprised me a bit when I did the preview render to see what it might look like. And thank you.

I had to look up that reference.
Looks like a pretty nifty little game, if only I had a Xbox to try it on.

This is cool...
Now to build it in Minecraft...

Thanks.
You could build it, especially the Menger sponge is simple. But it would probably be a bit tedious.

From the thumbnail I totally thought it was a structure made with those miniature magnetic-block-city things I had, like, 7 years ago. Cool stuff there!
