deviantART Playing Cards: SeniorsI told you I was going to be doing a second version, and here it is.
Again, same with the first version , it took a long time to track down each senior involved and get their full permission to use their mascot/logo/devID/popular deviation/etc. The seniors that are featured on this are the ones that I am most familiar with and are some of the oldest or most active ones on the site. Please don't be upset if you are a senior and are not in this. I simply ran out of spots for you all.
It was funny dealing with some of these seniors. Either they are really up on it and sent their images right away, or they are lackadaisical and sent their images like three weeks later.
The seniors were able to pick the image that they wanted on their card as well as their number card. Although they did know what project I was working on, they had no idea how I mixed up their numbers. Basically, I flip-flopped and made them the opposite, added 1, 2, 3, or 4 to them (based on suit) and then put them into position. For numbers that were repeated, I simply put them onto an open card.
You may notice 2 things that are off. 1) There have recently been new staffing positions for a few seniors. They were part of this project before they obtained staff positions so I chose to let them stay. 2) I added a suit. I had trouble saying "I don't have a place for you in this project" so adding a suit seemed to be the best way to get more involved. It's the "fella suit"--original eh?
I had a lot of fun with this. Thanks to all you seniors involved for letting me put this all together. I hope you enjoy it.

you know, this really reminds me that I should get started on making an avatar. cause you can't just be puttin whatever as it, cause if you do, someone might do something like draw it on a playing card. I just wish I knew what to do as an avatar. >_> thats the problem I've always had, I mean, its easy to think up what avatar you should make if you have a username like ยขlemontea , but my username doesn't really give any ideas for an avatar.

I've been trying and trying to comment on this piece for the longest time. I was originally scheduling myself to do a long winded critique about the whole thing, but I realized after about the 3rd time that I really needn't do something like that. I guess I'd like to mostly thank you for not only including me in this, but putting among some really great deviants in general. I still feel I have lots of earning to do before I can really accept my senior status, but it's nice to get something like this from time to time.
You really put this togther well, and I'm rather impressed in how the whole thing turned out. I really like the Fella suit, as well. A nice touch, and a good way to include more and more of the members who may have been otherwise neglected. Really awesome work, *eStunt .

Whoa, have some of these changed since the first version?!? I could swear I'm seeing some that weren't there before... But, then again, maybe it's just because it's simply too many to really "take in" on one pass, or even several.
Of course this is a wonderful project! To ask a bunch of creative people to represent themselves within a certain context is bound to produce a fabulous panalope of results, and that's exactly why this is so much fun to browse and enjoy, over and over again! "Random" self-expression in its truest form!
I'm just endlessly mesmerized by the variety here. From pixel art to vector art to straight photography to manips to renderings to paintings to WTF, all aswirl. And each definitely IS a work of art. I couldn't even pick favorites.
Brilliant concept, great execution. I am soooooo glad everyone came aboard!
And yeah, I'd wishlist this deck in a heartbeat!
