On my Nikon the screen comes away from the main unit, so you can have it sticking out to the side of the camera and rotate it to face foward. It gave me something in the corner of my eye to check I was getting the macro focus right ((the way manual focus works makes it hard to use it the wrong way around))...though it's partly down to luck - it's hard operating a camera back-to-front when the lense is resting against the bridge of your nose
I'm sure it would have been funny to watch me doing this

LOL I bet it was. I just think that it would be so awesome to take the picture without the reflections. It's just so amazing to be able to see the details in the eye that you really don't notice until you see it close up like this.
