I am barely on here anymore, at it really does make me feel so many different emotions. Every time I open up DevinatArt, I instantly get hit with nostalgia. I think back to 8th grade and all the friends I made on here and all the fun stuff we used to make from Rps and all of the work done with The Eight Kingdoms. I remember I used to think that I wouldn't ever "leave" DA and I wouldn't ever stop being active and now I barely have time to get on here. I hated the thought of leaving behind something that was such a big part of my life and every time I do login I feel sad to think about all the fun we used to have, but time changes things and people get busy as they grow older.

My time away from DA, I have been promoted at my job twice within a year, I live with my best friend and I have been learning to better market, advertise, and promote my books I have published. I know I get sentimental every time I get a chance to post on here and there for a while I was saying I would be more active, but I don't think I can. I think I can add in some time every week to do a few things, but I won't ever have enough time to run a group like The-Eight-Kingdoms again It really was one of the best times my life getting to be a part of that with many great people on here.

Now that my life has changed so much, I am spread pretty thin, but I can't help but feel the kid in me begging to be on here more. I miss my old friends and I miss being a part of something fun and creative. Anytime I get on here and give updates on my life or my books, I feel like I will have time and I will be able to do more here. I really do want to, but I say that every time. I have been trying to stay on top of my job, my relationships, my writing, and growing a following. Yet, I could also do that on here. If I took a day to clean up some old stuff, and start posting more then I think I would really get back into this old favorite site of mine. I used to always say I couldn't wait to grow up, and now that I have, I wish I could go back. Hell I'm not even that much older, but middle school seems so far away in my past. I miss DA, and I have kept up with one of my old friends on here through social media, but I do miss our RPs and our work we made for The Eight Kingdoms and for other groups.

If it wasn't for this site, I don't think I ever would've finished my books. I loved to write, but it was my friends on here that made me want to go the distance. I finally got around to making a site for my books and I made sure to showcase Thilil 's fanart she had made for my characters all those years back haha it felt really good thinking back on all that and how much support I had backing me up along the way. Life gets in the way sometimes, but I do want to keep making an effort to at least get on here every once in a while. I have so many fond memories made on DA and I don't want to ever forget them.
