NAME: HFI-2330, Lucia, Lucy
GENDER: female programming
SPECIES: android, roundhead cat-creature
An android created to help people and repair the facility. She has two bodies - one of the usual size (~1.75cm), and second is under 40 meters tall! She is friendly, but used to the fact that people are usually afraid of her in her giant form. After the facility was abandoned, Lucy remained one of the few working systems here.
PERSONALITY
Being created as an assistant for people, she is friendly and sociable, although she feels awkward with strangers - she wants to make new friends, but knows that many are afraid of her and shy away. She always tries to look as friendly and harmless as possible (which is difficult, especially when she is as tall as a multi-storey building). It is easy to confuse her with a simple compliment or gratitude, since she very rarely hears them addressed to her.
Due to the different configuration of devices in different bodies, when Lucy uses a body of normal (smaller) height, she usually becomes a little more silent and hurried. Sometimes it may seem that these are different personalities, but it's never confirmed and she has the same memories and relationships with other characters.
BIOGRAPHY
The complex was a goverment facility and conducted research on robotics and genetic engineering long before others and they operated in secret from the rest of the world. Even before the creation of artificial beings became normal, they created robots and cyborgs for testing and maintenance of the facility, which occupied a huge area underground, remaining hidden from the rest.
Main role of HFI-2330 "Lucia" was to help other employees of the complex and repair monumental structures and machines. And she handled it well enough! For her height, she is quite maneuverable and fast, she has all the necessary tools built into her body, as well as an additional "smaller" body for similar work, but at the level of human size (although more often she is present in the image of a giant, since this is her original function).
After the incident at the complex, it was decided to abandon it. A couple of days before that, Lucy was charging her battery, but due to an earlier processor injury, her on and off cycles were blocked and she missed the instructions for deactivating the complex. She woke up only a couple of decades later in an empty and abandoned complex, with no idea what had happened and where everyone had gone. She spent some time alone until she finally decided to use her smaller form to check out the surroundings.
She still spends most of her time in the complex, but sometimes comes to the surface to find out the news. It is difficult for her to get to know anyone and she is afraid that they will find out about her origin.
TRIVIA:
- Since neither people nor repair capsules are working anymore, Lucy has some damage left - a tear on her right arm and head (not visible due to her hair), as well as a broken lens on secondary eye sets ("goggles")
- She has a charging unit that looks like a backpack (she can only carry it in normal form), she uses it to supply current to some "dead" mechanisms and make her way or repair things.
- She knows that she has no chance to repair the whole complex after decades of abandonment, but old habits die hard
- There were three such robots like Lucy in total, but the remaining two are currently dismantled
- Lucy wears clothes when she goes to the surface, so as not to stand out too much and to protect the spinal ports (which were usually used for tests and connection to the complex systems)
