Description
A second permutation of the Ginkgo Fox...I'm drawing the leaves on freehand when I make the pattern, so there are variations. This is made of hand-shaped, hand carved leather. My own original design.
I'm using Liquitex acrylics with these masks, but I find I get deeper more durable coverage if I use an alcohol-based dye first. The acrylics are colorfast and permanent but they sit on the surface; the dye goes deep into the leather & cuts down on the coats of paint you need to get a rich solid color. Then I do a black watered-down antiquing stain overall, to show off the detail in the carving.
As ever, you can find my masks for sale here: [link]

Ginko love! Those leaves are always just so cute-looking and whimsical. I especially love them in contrast with the tear stripes,w ell, you know, along with everything else

I thought they fit nicely, you know? I'm always doing these "foxes with leaves" masks (once I did one with ivy, once with grape leaves & grapes which was pretty cool) but this is my favorite "leaf" to pair the fox with from now on. It just fits.

Ah, how cute~
The ginkgo plant is one of the better plants to illustrate the more innocent side of fox lore~
There's something about that leaf that seems playful and... childhood-esque?
I dunno, heehee. I find your use of imagery as clever as always~

Thank you!
Yes, I think the gingko leaf is charming in its simplicity...it pairs well with the fox because it's so uncomplicated.
