Description
Colored version. Jaroda , Emboar, and Daikenki, the final stages of the starters of Isshu. I hated these guys when their pictures were leaked and prayed that they were fake, so seeing their game sprites was crushing. I didn't want to hate the starters, so I thought I'd draw them, cuz that usually makes me like the subject more. And it worked! If Emboar is charging on all fours, he's kinda cool! And Daikenki snarling and leaping up is sorta cute again. And Jaroda's still got that smug look. So they're not as bad as I thought afterall. ^-^Colored in photoshop using their sprites' colors, and some of Obsidian Dawn's brushes in the background. About 2 hours.

Yay piggy!! lol He's definately grown on me. ^-^ I still love him more as a quadroped, but I love his backsprite in the game, so even on two legs, he's pretty cool.

Enbuoh is cool , but I hate the fact that he is the third Fire/Fighting in a row , Fire/Dark would have been a better type for him .

Would have been interesting to finally have a Dark-type Pokemon that is related to a starter Pokemon . BUT GAMEFREAK made him the third Fire/Fighting for no reason(1st Gym is no longer Rock-type anymore) . Still I don't hate him . Chaobuu is one I hate through .

If I was going to be honest, Emboar is the only starter I hate. Other starters like Piplup, Torchic, Marshtomp and Meganium are not even close to how much I hate Emboar, and those starters I listed aren't ones I like either. However, Daikenki and Jaroda are in my top favs. I love their designs. I do have a thing for reptiles, which is the reason why my fav starter Pokemon in each gen is a reptile related. And Daikenki, is may be based off of a sea lion, but to me, it kinda looks like a dog, in some sense. And I love dogs. Overall, I say this gen starters aren't bad, it's only Emboar that I hate. Yet, I love it's pre-evolution Pokabu.

I looove Pokabu. Such an adorable, happy little piggy! But it's middle stage, Chaobuu, is now the only member of all the starters' families ever that I really hate. Not even Combusken competes with that ugly thing. And I strongly disline Combusken! (Kinda funny cuz my favorite starter is Torchic, and my absolute favorite Pokemon ever is Blaziken.) But I kinda like Emboar now. If I don't think of his flames as a 'beard' like the Dex says, and rather a 'mane', he seems better. I reeeeally wish he was quadropedal, though! DX Daikenki and Jaroda have really grown on me, though. I love both of them now!

Yeah, Feraligatr's pretty darn cool. XD But Blaziken will always be my favorite! I'm still liking these guys, though. Daikenki's especially growing on me, but I'm still going fire, even if Emboar did copy off Blaziken. lol

Agreed, I like the finals (not really Mijumaru's but I'll get over it) but I would also like it if Embaor was on all fours and Daikeni was upright (to go with the otter thing a bit better)

Great picture, but I'm still disappointed...and I've always been on the frontline defending the Hoenn/Sinnoh/Isshu PokΓ©mon from the "OMG ALL NEW POKΓMON BEYOND (Kanto/Johto) ARE AUTOMATICALLY FAILURES!" and this is what they repay me with?!

Yeah, I know what you mean. It makes me mad when people hate all the new Pokemon just because they're new. It makes me wanna love these guys, especially since they're starters and will be everywhere, but their appearances makes it kinda hard. They're growing on me more, though. But they had the potential to be so much cooler!
