Description Camera, tripod and bag. Tripod is a Manfrotto 055CL and weighs about 5lbs. Total setup here weighs about 13lbs. If you're looking to get a nicer tripod, I would highly recommend giving one of these a go. I got mine in April 05 and absolutely love it. Every single little issue I had with my old tripod is sorted out very well with one of these. Very good quality. Wish I'd got one sooner!

Yes, I know this looks a bit stupid with a border, but just try and stop me!

Thanks Finally got a setup I really like However, it should be known that a large proportion of my pics on the site were taken with my 2 megapixel Toshiba and the cheapest tripod they sell at London Drugs! Certainly isn't all about the equipment.

Nice set up, I don't have $100+ to drop on a tripod just now but it does look very sturdy I think I only paid around $30 for mine but the added weight might help with windy situations so I’ll give it a go

Yeah, you can always hang something off your tripod I'm sure. I did that for quite a while with my old tripod. Next time you have money to spend on camera stuff, I'd highly recommend putting it towards a decent tripod (assuming you use your tripod a lot), rather than a lens or whatever. Made a world of difference for me!
