THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.
But I have one question. Say you have mesh that wraps around like the leg of a pair of pants. This caused issues for me with this method. The UV looks more like a projected uv. Do you have a way that would somehow make that work?Ā

do the legs separately, not together

I've been attempting to retexture a part of my model through meta, but I'm not able to hit 'apply', and basic mode isn't on ; n ;

YAY!! I've been wondering how people do the UV map like that for ages... (Especially while I was texturing something with Atlas last night... =_= )
But when I go to click apply, it doesn't do anything..? Do you know why that would be?

how do you make it so when you click "hide selected faces" the actions you do on the not hidden side happens on both sides? like how did you make it mirrored?

MMD-MCL In reply to Pomegranate-Len [2013-01-13 12:06:37 +0000 UTC]
delete half of the model, right click the object and put mirror seperated on

it says the version on the box that shows up right before meta loads
š: 0 ā©: 1
MMD-MCL In reply to OceanR1 [2013-01-01 21:39:10 +0000 UTC]
i mean when you open meta, a box shows up before it loads meta fully, it should say what version you have
