Category: PhotographyAfter a lot of umming and ahhing I decided to submit this after all - despite its shortcomings.
I can't pinpoint one work of art, one moment in time, or one photographer as my ultimate inspiration. For me, inspiration comes in a lot of shapes and forms. Moments, colours, little things... music, movies, pictures... every small thing around me inspires me. And my two muses (well a girl can't have just one
), *liinu and ~SiniBlue , are a constant source of inspiration to me.

Lovely shot indeed. I like the material you used underneath the models and the view of the shot. Great movie choices to put in the shot as well. They're all very artistic, colorful, movies that I love.
And to give some sort of critique... The items on the left side of the picture, above the movies, seem slightly cluttered. The flower is cut off and it's a little too dark to see the others. Everything on the right hand side is beautifully placed, spaced, and lighted. There are books, and movies with a few items scattered around, keeping a nice balance. I think the pillows are maybe out of place in this picture. Maybe what you already have in your picture could of been spaced out to fill those spaces, especially the bottom right corner. Because, it is the portion of the picture that is well lit, and maybe one of the movies or items on the left side of the picture could of been scattered there. I'm being overly critical here. Heh. But I really love the concept of this photo. And I must know who the author is for that "Portraits" book the model is holding. I can only see an "M." I'm always on the lookout for portrait photography books.

Oh I know all the shortcomings of this picture, and they annoy me grately. I didn't have sufficient lighting back then and it was just too dark to get everything lit evenly. The arranging of the stuff was trickier than it would seem, I did move everything around a lot of times and somehow it just never appeared balanced.
Wasn't going to submit this to the contest I shot it for first, but then thought what the hell and did, just for the fun of it.
The book is by Mario Testino.

Beautiful color combination especially in this one. And I've noticed you've got some very good inspiration sources... I like the looks of the girls, it seems like the eyes are all lost in dreams. Good work again

I love the many different things i get from this picture. the different emotions that is. I love the lighting as well. There's something about it that i want to raise my finger at and say "but" .... but i can't quite pinpoint it, so i'm not gonna bother

it's been really interesting looking at the different things... trying to spot where I've seen it in your pictures... or when you've mentioned a film or book in a conversation... or remembering which pictures liinu and siniblue have featured in... but I don't think you'd have to know any of that to get the feeling of inspirations floating around.
