Description
"Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless in facing them. Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but for the heart to conquer it. Let me not look for allies in life's battlefield but to my own strength. Let me not crave in"~Rabindranath Tagore
Sometimes facing the world on your own is a frightening experience. I'm finding power in my fears.
Enjoy.

It's said the difference between fear and exhilaration is a deep breath. Kudos.
And gorgeous image, too, perfectly lit and composed. Really excellent work, Danielle.

Good stuff; great colors. Only suggestion I might make is to make them even more bright; right now they're just a bit dark.

Great! This immediately catches my eye, the colors are very vivid and the direct focus is nice. This seems to have a very odd crop that takes away form the photo, and it only focuses on the variety of colors and the textures of the items. Iβm loving the drawing formation on the item, it makes the photo much nicer I believe (I know the little drawing was on there already and it was beyond you, but still ) Last but not least, one extra characteristic that I noticed instantaneously when opening this. The focus, great focus on the yellow item, as opposed to the other ones. It makes you focus on one particular thing, which I think is important for this photo!
βSometimes facing the world on your own is a frightening experience. I'm finding power in my fears.β
Very true, but sometimes the biggest fears we have arenβt that bad. Let me tell you, before jumping into something that you think is rather βfrighteningβ think of the worst possible scenario, youβll see that it isnβt that bad.
Here is a personal story (not that you care)
While I was in Europe I was touring around with a few people, just 3 more... But every time we visited a museum, or just walked around weβd all split ways. Iβm not the most independent person in the universe, so the thought of being alone in a place with hundreds of people and large buildings was a bit frightening.
So, worst possible scenario I thought was getting lost. Worst comes to worst, Iβd catch a cab to the hotel and stay there till it was time that we met back. Either that, or go back to hotel, and walk back to where we were going to meet and remain there.
Never got lost, never got scared, because I knew the worst possible scenario wasnβt even that bad.
Great quote
Take care

the strength within us is far more stronger than whatever shelter we may have

The colours and shapes are wonderful! I don't know what to say that already hasn't been said about this piece. I quite enjoy the range of emotions portrayed by the mix here, from the warmth of the yellow to the cool feeling presented by the blue in the background. There is a sense of order here as well as a sense of randomness (if that makes sense!), the set-up to the shot feels natural in the end and I think that is important. Great work!

First of all, I really like your choice of quotations within the commentary β it is a deep concept that I don't often see understood by many β the realization that tough times make us stronger and that we should, rather than shying away, embrace them as an opportunity to mature spiritually.
I adore the colouration and the simplicity of the paper texture and design β they're so little but they're so festive. I like that you chose to portray the three different perspectives, particularly I noticed the way that the red was tilted to provide two segments of differing focus.
I'm really happy to see such vibrant colour in your work and hope to see more.

Hey, I'm new here & am into photograpy too (though not solely), perhaps you got time to pop by my gallery sometime? Mostly nature & landscapes (hey - I live in New Zealand!), but there are some abstracte-y things buried in my gallery too.
