Description
I'm not sure if you have to download this or not.SOOOO this took a while to submit! First, my sister took our camera with her on misson trip before I got to upload them...so all of the pictures were in New Orleans for a week xD;; Plus I just haven't wanted to put it all together until now, thanks to , who kept on begging me to finish. So this is for you, mi'dear!
I apologize ahead of time for any spelling/grammar mistakes...I get good grades in History and Art, not English.
Note me if you have any questions or concerns!

omg thank you so much!!!! ^////^ It should help me a bunch but I don't have really any good art supplies. lol My rents are cheap and I'm just glad to be drawing at all! what kinda of random pens that would probably be good substitutes for the ones you're using? I've got a ton of random stuff that's not real 'art aupplies' Thanks a bunch!!!

Aww, I'm so glad it could help! Oh man, I would totally recommend Pilot pens. I've fallen in love with every single Pilot pen I've ever touched. For drawing, I prefer any color of Extra Fine Precise v5, and I really love writing and doodling with G2 Gel Pens. DA keeps messing up the links, but you can find anything and everything here [link] .
Basically, anything that makes a smooth mark and feels good to write/draw with is perfect. 83 Bah, I hoped that helped somehow.

Okay... lol I've gotta remember that name.. Pilot.
Okay, lol Assuming that it's better to find varying sizes, right? That did completely help!!! Thanks so much!!!!! ^///^

Gah, so do I...thats why I'm aprehensive when it comes to ink/tablet work xD;;
I haven't tried this yet, but maybe you could support your drawing hand with something elevated...like a thick pad of sticky notes. I'll experiment the next time I ink and I'll be sure to share the results with you! :3

I ink and draw in front of my comp.... Cause the table is big.

This tutorial rocks! It's really amazing, and hepls alot. But I have a question...since I'm a beginner, what type of pens would you advise me to use?
And what can I do to get better?

(Of course, if your teachers don't like doodles, do it on your personal papers ^^sorry for not mentioning that earlier!)

When I was starting out, I used Sakura Microns, but I really don't like those now. ^^' Honestly, I like any of the better Pilot pens (found in any CVS/Office Depot/Office Supply store) for sketching use, and I'm pretty sure that they could be used for drawings. :3 But if you have the money for maybe a small three-pack of Koh-i-nor Rapidiograph pens and ink (Any hobby-supply store), I totally suggest those! :'D
I know this sounds cliche but PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. :'D Go out and find other inking tutorials, practice line variation with scratch paper, doodle in ink on your homework, anything. Soon everything will become second nature to you, you know. :3

Lol, thankx :3
I just bought some pens, the brand is called Artline. I just got sizes 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3.
Are these okay to begin with?
Btw...I love the Sailor Moon drawing and the group picture as well. About the pens, they are REALLY good.
They were a LITTLE bit expensive xD But they are totally worth it, again thanx for the great tutorial and the help.
Ive annoyed the heck outta my parents to let me get them >:3 Since I'm only 13 I wanna start it now to get used to it.
HAH attack of teh small fonts

Yeah, I've never used Artline, but I'm pretty sure they're fantastic. (Its a good brand, I've heard)
Aww, thank you! ^^ I'm so glad my tutorial could be of use to you!
Usually expensive art supplies are always worth it. Lol, be kind to your parents! xD
Yesyes small fonts rock!

Too bad I don't have Rapidographs, but they're so freaking expensive.
I might just either use cheap run of the mill pens or Microns instead if, of course, they still apply to the tutorial.

Well, I'm pretty sure they sell basic sets of about three pens for $20-30...still pretty expensive, but better than a whole set. ^^'
They should...I started inking with Sakuras and learned a lot of my techniques from them, so they should work just fine. ^^

You mean on EBay? or Amazon.com? Because I trust Amazon.com more than eBay.
I have feelings against eBay:
1. Fear of ripoffs
2. Fear of getting outbid
3. Feeling like I have to be a millionaire just to avoid getting outbid
How does that feedback thing work though?

I think off-line meant stationary store, but anyway...
I own a few Sakura Micron pens myself, I find them to be on the shelves in a lot of stationary stores. There are some other alternative pens if you can't find them, I prefer Faber-Castell's Ecco Pigment and Artline's "Drawing System". Staedler's 0.05 Pigment Liner is pretty useful too.
Hope this helps.
