Description
That which holds the image of an Angel becomes itself an Angel.A Weeping Angel holding the TARDIS key from the Doctor Who episode Blink.
This should've been done in December already, but uni work really got in the way. So here it is now, all set and ready to freak you all out. I finished most of the top panel today, which still is quite sooner than I expected. All credits for the odd shades go to the DW crew
I merely just drew them, but they really were frustrating. Strangely enough I had great fun drawing the hand and mouth. Those are usually the things I'm struggling with, but I got both right in one go so yay!
I think for once there wasn't anything I really struggled with in this case. I should draw more Doctor Who stuff, apparantly.
And remember; don't blink. Don't turn your back. Don't look away.

The stone texture and the detail you have achieved in the pencil work is amazing! Wow, wow, WOW, fantastic! Really fantastic.

I like these Angels more than I should. And the urge to keep scrolling up to keep an eye on this is so strong
The 'grain' (from the scanner?) works well in this case, giving it a texture, and I like the composition of the two too

The grain comes from both the paper and the scanner. The paper is not smooth as it's aquarelle paper so it's supposed to have texture. I love drawing 'old' stuff on it (such as my Assassins Creed drawings), because it gives things just the right feel.
Hmm, I feel reluctant to try a grey background because I'm afraid I will make those so very dull.

I still haven't seen any Doctor Who. It's too expensive to buy here and they'll probably never get it at our public broadcaster. Pitty, it looks really awesome.
