The latest Comic Book Storytelling assignment! This week we had to use a famous location over multiple views...so...easter island! I wrestled for a concept for a little while (I was gone this weekend, so the pressure was on!) and I finally came up with this, and I'm pretty happy with it. Would that I had more time to finesse the color! Alas :/As ever, I am so sick of this right now.
Ah well, hopefully sometime in the future I'll have more lead time to make sure I can take the time to do what needs to get done. Hope y'all like it, anyways!

I LOVE all of your comics, they are so inspiring to me! They tell so much story, and you don't even have to know the story before you see the comic. Usually you don't even say a word in your comics too, and yet, so much story and emotions, maaan! <3 Just wanted to let you know, even though I don't write much comments to your art, you have amazing skills and I enjoy your expressive drawings.

Great work! I really like the pacing and timing, for example the first 4 panels. The detail of the hand slowly waking up, then the sudden 4th panel!
Also, I love your colors, the lines are sketchy but the smooth colours make it look finished. And great ending! Comics this short seem incredibly difficult to write, but you pulled it off without giving the feeling of an abrubt ending. Only panel that was a bit confusing was the closeup of the statue's eyes, didn't immediately see what it was.

It took me my second time scrolling through it to realize those little lights were actually eyes watching him. Very sneaky and creative! I love your style and the Island head smiling at the end is cute

Damn it all, this makes me want smoothies somethin' fierce. Still don't get why you put yourself down about colour, as I think you're far stronger it than you may think. Other than playing with the pacing a bit at the end (I feel like a close shot of his surprise followed by a zoom out with a bit more of an "Oh. Fruit," expression would be quite nice), this turned out beautifully.
