Interesting QuestionI have a paradoxical question to bother you all with.
Do you control your brain. Or does your brain control you?
Are we the ones making conscious decisions or are we all simple responding to instinctive stimuli, genetically ingrained in our thought processes?
But I love this question, simply because it is genuinely impossible for us to come up with a viable answer. There's no proof that our personality dominates our automatic reactions because humans are such delusional creatures, such arrogant beasts that we even named ourselves "Wise" monkeys, racial arrogance surpasses even cats, but since we have this... Insanity, no matter what happens to us, we WILL, either consciously, socially or subconsciously convince ourselves that it was our idea to begin with. Whether our reasoning is that, logically, we would come up with the answer, or that society would impose a decision on us that was actually an instinctive reaction to "blend with the herd" which, although that isn't the correct terminology, is actually a documented phenomenon, people adopt the appearance and habits of the most successful herd member, with animals we call it learning, with society its called fashion and has the opposite effect to learning.
So, what is your opinion on this subject? I am genuinely curious.
Also, if you found this interesting then watch the Ricky Gervais show, it's hilarious but it's where I got this idea.

They've remade baldur's Gate and they're working on Shadows of Amn, just updating the graphics and extending the story, not changing it.
Dues Ex is the first game I ever properly finished
Invisible War was a big let down though, Human Revolution isnt too bad though.
Postal Two is stupid good fun
Silent Storm is awesome
Tomb Raider three was my first game, though I never finished it. Got too distracted looking for secrets in the mansion.

Yep,, I heard about Shadows of Amn, I even downloaded it, but it didn't work.
The only Deus Ex I played was Human revolution and I finished it twice (godamn chip! )
Postal 2 is funny and sadistic: First, shock someone untill he/she falls; Second: Pour gasoline on him/her; Third: Light him/her up; Fourth: Extiguish the fire with your piss!
Silent Storm is foda!
Secrets in the Mansion? Like locking your butler inside the freezer?

I used to watch dad play stuff like Return to Castle Wolfenstein, it gave me nightmares xD
I like some point and click games, but mostly I'm an rpg/open-world kind of gamer.

Me, too!
Wolfenstein? Awesome! My dad played this one, too! Nightmares? well, these old games are surelly more submersive than this ones we have now, so I can't call you weakling for doing so.

Maybe the more you think, the less your brain controls you. It would still have quite a large effect though.

It's even more complex than the 'experts' themselves realize, considering the brain is not merely a single entity, but two hemispheres acting almost autonomously...and even then it begs the question of the soul, which lies outside the province of mere physical science! Endless wonders, my friend...
