so much work went into this, believe me. But it was freakin worth it! After having seen the awesome second HTTYD this is my tribute to the fantastic animators over there at Dreamworks!
Yaay animations again! This time all painted in TV Paint
There's 70 frames in total with about 30 drawings.(i friggin love animating wings okay)
So yeah, words of encouragement are always welcome and maybe I will torture bless your eyes with more animations soon! If you can't wait that long, check out my gallery in the meantime
Toothless belongs to Dreamworks (sniff)
OH and this is another animation of a Night Fury that I did, but traditionally (every frame is hand drawn on a single sheet of paper)

Got any animation tips for a new animator like me?

uhh SURE! I love giving out tips :'D
Usually what I find easy to animate are straight pose-to-pose animations. Like, not lipsync and not walk cycles, but a short motion that leads from 1 pose to another. The best example is a jump: Let's say you take a cat. Frist pose is him sitting, second pose is crouching down in anticipation, third is him in the air, paws outstretched, last is him landing and possibly bouncing a bit. I always try to sketch out the poses first and then I just start animating (usually 12 pictures per second) and use the poses as reference
Which program do you have? Maybe I can give you some tips on that

Yes, that's because it is 12 frames per second - that amount of frames is not too much and it is pleasing to the eye
